In 5th grade, basketball was this unknown sport that I didn't really know much about. I had played basketball video games, but never the real game. I was excited, but really nervous to play. I got through 5th grade year, and 6th grade started. When I walked into school on the first day, I didn't see Mrs. Hamm. I thought maybe she was just late. But when I asked people around me where she was, they told me she had moved away to teach at a different school.
I was upset, and slightly less excited to

I had scored the last goal in my first ever basketball game! Everyone cheered and I was in even more shock than before. After that, I was way more confident in how I played, because I knew I could do it.
The A game was next. I was ready to play another game. But, Mrs. Brandt never put me in. I was really sad when that happened, after that game, I wasn't on A team any more. At the end of that season, I felt like I did alright.
7th grade year came along, and I started the year running cross country with Mr. Sibley. At the end of cross country, I was so excited to finally play basketball again. The first game felt like it came faster than the last year. We all went into the gym and warmed up. I felt like I was better than I was the year before, and I was really excited. At the beginning of practice, the day before our first game, Mrs. Brandt lined everybody up on the base line, she told five of us to change our reversible practice to blue, and everyone else to turn theirs to yellow.
We were about half way through practice, Mrs. Brandt stopped us. "The five in blue are our A team starters tomorrow", she said with

Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. At the age of eight, I had worn the worst pain ever and that was watching my five, year old brother getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street riding a bicycle that had a loose chain. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…

Starting first grade I thought we were the top dogs because we got moved down to the bigger playground with the bigger kids. Since they knew we liked kick ball so much they built a kick ball diamond for us. There was just so much to do in the shortest amount of time. Everyday was a new day, I never did the same thing, whether it was playing on the upper part on the monkey bars seeing who could hang the longest or playing football with the guys. I can remember my first year at kickball I was taller than most of the guys because they haven’t hit their growth spurt yet, so everyone wanted me on their team because I was the only girl once again that was better than most of the guys.…

Some of my successes in life include winning baseball tournaments, getting voted into the allstars in my baseball league, being the youngest kid in colorado to get his license to hunt, and firing a 306 when i was 6 without my arm falling off. My 1st success in baseball was when i was 7 years old and my team was losing the championship game by 2 points, so when i got up to bat there was a guy on 3d base and on 2nd, we already had 2 outs so if i got out we lost the game here. So when i got up to bat i got 2 strikes and the next pitch i hit allowing me to get to 2nd base and my teammates on bases 2 and 3 to get home and score the 2 points we needed to tie the game and go into overtime.…
