When I ride it's like the earth stops at every corner so I can check to make sure a, loud, car isn't roaring towards me. It's like that feeling in your chest that tells you that everything is going to be ok, yet your mind is screaming at you that it won't be. I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…

He said how her sister Bianca was all over him and over Xavier too. So he texted me the address of the cabin, and I went for a drive with a shotgun in the backseat of my Tahoe. Is it the right thing to do? Maybe not.…

First I would like to start with the drive from Arizona to Wyoming. This drive is like no other, the views from cactus to pine trees are breath taking. The town that I stay in is Greybull, when you enter this town it looks like a scene from an old western movie. The streets are empty with wooden sidewalks and there are only two stop signs. The weather plays a very large part in this memory as the air is crisp and clear with a smell of freshness.…

After five hours under Mrs. Gonzalez’s 1997 Plymouth, my hands were so dirty I had to wash them ten times just to see my fingernails again. She was a familiar face around the shop, given that neighborhood thieves had routinely targeted her car. This time, though, they had gone too far. Someone had crawled underneath the car and cut out the valuable catalytic converter, and she couldn’t afford a replacement. When I looked at her and said, “That’ll be $563,” her face turned pale.…

On May 20th I went through the scariest event of my life. Moore got devastated by a F5 tornado and I was all alone at my boyfriend’s mom’s house where I was staying for my visit. I first hid in the closet after getting a phone call from my boyfriend’s sister to seek shelter and that the bathroom was not good since it had a window. I gutted a closet in seconds to where it was only me in the closet so nothing would harm me. I got 2 more calls, and on the last call my boyfriend’s sister again frantically telling me to get underground and that news reports are saying the tornado is now an F5, and people will die if they are caught in it above ground.…

However, I had to evacuate my home. I left my horse to a friend and my grandparents rushed me home to meet my parents. I had thought it was too late, the sheriff stopped us a mile from home and told us that he could not allow any traffic through and that we would have to drive 25 miles around to get up the hill, until he saw me screaming in the back seat. I was terrified and all I remember saying was, “My cat, my cat, my cat is at my house!”. After two minutes we were let through and I raced into my house.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

It was the summer of 2007, and my parents thought that it would be a brilliant idea to go on a family road trip to some unknown location. This was the summer before I started high school and I wasn’t in the family bonding mood for a day let alone two weeks. With me being an only child, grandchild, and great grandchild, I was the only kid with five adults in a minivan. Why my parents thought that this was a good idea is still beyond my imagination.…
