Personal Narrative Essay: The Views Of High School

Great Essays
The leaves started to change and I finally felt like new again. It was my junior year and all I wanted to do at this point was get the heck out of high school. I had maybe two or three good friends that I could actually count on at the time. I didn’t really have any of those good friends during my lunch period and was forced to have pointless conversations with irrelevant girls who only cared about their image and how popular they are in high school. My viewpoint of high school now was completely changed. I stood up for myself, I was my own person and was undeniably and unapologetically myself. I now knew my worth and knew what I wanted. I did not take anything from anyone, I knew what I deserved and I wasn’t going to stop until I got it. I was blooming, growing, and becoming more and more myself everyday. Towards the chillier months when the weather got dry and dull, there was always something to cheer me up, and it was the musical at Liberty-Benton. Doing musicals is …show more content…
The sun glistening just like I now was. It was June 12th, and it was time for me to swallow my pride. I arrived at Austin and Tyson’s graduation party and snuck the letter, that had been in a blank envelope, in Austin’s card box. It was now a waiting game for me, either I would hear from him or I wouldn’t. A few weeks past and I still didn’t receive any form of communication from Austin. I knew I did the right thing and I was happy with my life. I believe he taught me a huge lesson. I now love myself more than I ever did. I know what to look for, and what not to look for now in relationships, and I’m thankful for everything I was put through. Without all of the hurting, the drama, and the healing, I would not be the strong, independent person I am today. I hope when I leave high school I will always be remembered as the girl who never gave up, and I wish for people to see me as a strong, self-reliant person I

If you had asked any of my peers for a description of who I am, they would have said that I was someone who was shy, and possibly even a bit awkward. This was a personality trait that I had been struggling with throughout the majority of my life. I had grown up as an only child, incessantly feeling out of place among my peers. It wasn’t until the middle of my freshman year of high school that I gained the self-confidence I had only dreamed about.…

High school. People say it’s either the best or worst four years of your life. Of course they never give you the details of what makes them the worst or best years. Which means, I, a terrified 8th grader convince myself that they will be the worst four years of my life. Honestly it is easy to guess that.…

Narrative Essay One tremendously windy Monday morning, the sky shifted gloomy shades of grey above my home in the land of 10,000 lakes: Minnesota. My loathsome alarm yet again woke me with its vexatious sound, as it does Monday through Friday. It took me an unpleasant 30 minutes to get myself out of bed and into the shower. After showering and picking out a nice cozy outfit, I dashed upstairs to grab a quick breakfast before heading to an early choir rehearsal.…

When I was in high school we wrote and typed a lot of papers about people places and things, like Napoleon Bonaparte, The battle of Waterloo and JFK and his assassination. which I also hope more things like that we will happen in college and to along with improving my punctuation and spelling grammar and getting my essays to a well used grammar level that I can be proud of. When I was in high school we were graded on our grammar very harshly especially on the things I need to work on like punctuation and word placement and I don’t think it helps me and I hope my College Professor's comments will help with my grammar punctuation and spelling to go along with some help with paragraph placement for the future. My journey throughout high school was nonetheless not a smooth sailing ride. I started out freshman year with minimal A's and B's and had a mostly a C grade or below. I struggled throughout my freshman and sophomore year mainly due to previous brain trauma that I have experienced when I was twelve years old. I got into a bike accident and then re-injured it when I was a sophomore by getting into a car accident. This took a huge toll on my ability to perform at my highest potential because I lost a lot of my working memory.…

The main thing that has surprised me is how quick assignments need to be done. When I was in middle school we got lots of time to work on essays during class. The first paper I wrote in high school I felt very rushed and worked for hours just to make sure I could get it done. After that essays became much easier and I don’t need to spend as much time on them.…

What I have learned from my past educational experience in high school is that life is not always fair. I have learned getting good grades is long and hard work, and that if you want to achieve good grades you have to manage your time and work around being able to study and have fun as well. I have learnt that joining clubs has helped me have fun as well as learn things I enjoy. I have learned to manage my study time to coexist with my cheerleading and track practice times, as well as my work schedule. Although there has been times throughout my high school career that has been tough to do both studying and extra curricular activities, my parents have helped me strive and push through it all.…

My Junior year of high school was my challenging year, the reason to that is because we had to study for our Act also we had our grad MCAs to take. I must say it was really difficult knowing that we had those two big major tests in the same week. The amount of studying was ridiculous but in my head for a whole two months I was reminding myself that it will benefit me in the future that I need this to graduate. One part I didn 't have to worry was a portion of the MCA like the Algebra part. But the part that was extremely hard for me was geometry.…

As a teenager I have never thought about what the hardest, or best part of being a teen has been, I usually just live with it because it is my life and it is everyday. Sitting here, thinking about it, being a teen is one of the hardest stages of life, but it's also one of the best. I would say it's hard because you are expected to act like an adult, all emotions are everywhere and everything you do as a teen defines you as an adult. It could be the best because your not treated like a baby no more, people trust you to make the right decision and you get more freedom. Even though it can be a hard time i would say that you always have people around you who will always be there for you, they will always have your back.…
