“Freshman duties! Grab a bag and take it to the field.” It was the first day of soccer practice and I was already annoyed with the upperclassmen. This was the exact opposite of how I intended practice would be. During my entire childhood, I was told that sports provide you with the most important and exciting memories in your life. However, this practice was making me feel as if I was lied too because this practice was the worst. As I thought deeply about it, I decided to ignore the unfair treatment so I grabbed a ball bag and started walking towards the field. I had a small feeling that one of the freshmen would stand up for us, but nothing was said, the situation was totally ignored. Finally, we arrived in the …show more content…
My brothers came downstairs from their bedrooms so we could eat dinner as a family. After everyone was sitting down, my brother Karscen asked me how practice was. I replied with, “It was okay. Before we could hop into our cars and leave, Coach Thelen talked to the team. He discussed certain things that we would have to work on before our first official game. However, he never mentioned anything about the upperclassmen purposely not including the freshmen. When he finished his talk, I angrily grabbed my bag and walked out to the car, where my parents were. I decided not to speak to them about the scrimmage because I would have just become more upset. Additionally, the whole way home was complete
