Ever since I was little, I loved the idea of going all over the world. My family never had the money to travel anywhere exciting, but the summer of 2016 was different. My uncle Terry lives in Spokane, which is in Washington. My mom decided it was time to go on vacation and visit, so we hopped on a train and went to visit him. My mom, my uncle Cory, my four cousins and I all went together, so they could also see Terry. In my opinion, the most exciting part was the train ride. It was a 24-hour train ride, but it was the most beautiful ride I’ve ever experienced. There is a car in the train that is called the observation deck. He spoke quietly, gently shook me and said, “Ma’am, I believe this is your stop. Rise and shine.” I was groggy, said thank you, then got the rest of my family awake. My uncle was awaiting our arrival and proceeded to help us all get our luggage into the taxi. We went to his house, unloaded all our belongings from the taxi and went straight to bed. When I woke up the next morning, it was about 1 P.M, and as soon as I walked out of the room, I could smell the aroma of garlic in the air. For me, the week whizzed by. We went to a big cat zoo and I got to feed a lion, we went to the mall and went to a trampoline park, and most fun of all was laser tag on the last day. It was my first time going to laser tag. “Don’t worry, just breathe and be observant”, was what one of the veterans told me. I told him that I’m a terrible aim, but all he said was, “just have fun with it”, which I did. While in the arena, there was fog, loud sirens blaring and the sound of people getting stunned with the laser guns. It was pitch black, except for the flashing lights and neon paint splattered on various walls throughout the arena. I got hit a few times, but overall finished 4th out of 18
