This was a comedic series that was set in Germany during World War II, specifically in a Luftwaffe (German Air Force) prisoner-of-war camp. The prisoners at this camp were not like any other prisoners, their mission was to sabotage the German war effort, smuggle escaped prisoners to England, and make their commandant’s life as annoying as possible. Roy looked forward in distaste. In front of him sat a small house that resembled that of the 'American Dream'. Hell, there was even white picket fence and a petite garden protected by garden gnome. The exterior had white paneled walls that covered a good part of the outside, except for some sides of the house that had light gray brick with a dense overgrowth of ivy. To add to the primness, there was even a cobblestone path hugged by rose bushes and ornaments that led up to the front door.…

This concept is embedded in John Steinbeck's story, Of Mice and Men. Throughout the story, Steinbeck brings this idea of hopeless dreams through the relationship of George and Lennie.…

At their essence, all stories are the same; from George Lucas ' Star Wars and Grimm 's fairy tales to The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and Homer 's The Odyssey. Granted, at face value, there might seem little common ground between Luke Skywalker and Cinderella, or between Dorothy Gale and Odysseus. However, every story plays towards certain experiences-- a progression of trials, triumphs and occasional failures that allow the hero to develop and overcome adversity. This process, called the Hero 's Journey, is a necessary part of the human experience in both fiction and in day to day life. Through it, Cinderella finds love and escapes a life of hardship and Odysseus returns home from war.…
