Brianna Monologue

When I was young I always looked up to my sister for different reasons. Brianna is a very independent person as she does what she wants when she wants; but at the same time she had always lived by the books getting straight A’s throughout all of highschool and college. Whenever we went to conferences the teachers always talked about how good of a student she was and I was afraid that my parents and the teachers would compare me to her. She was very good in band as she had been section leader for marching band and first chair flute. It never mattered what she did if she wanted to she would do it and do really well. Brianna was a quite person but knew how to use her words. If you were to here he talk you would think she was just a kid maybe twelve years old she looks that too, but she always spoke in a sophisticated well educated manner. When I was in fifth grade and we had instrument choosing day I picked the flute because I thought that maybe I could be better then her at it. I completely hated playing the flute because I was never going to be as good as my sister and in my mind it was the worst instrument ever. As the year went on I realised that I hated playing the flute so much that I changed instruments to the baritone saxophone. As I got into middle school I attempted to be a better student and get better grades because I did not want to be known as the failed little brother who never lives up to the very smart older sibling; I wanted to be at conferences and have my parents and the teacher talk about me not my sister and how good she was.
