Personal Narrative Essay: The Red Beast

Improved Essays
Imagine two girls. One screaming, and one laughing at the one screaming. It all started when some family friends including Shelby and I were going to play a friendly game of tag. Shelby got stuck in the middle of my driveway; while I was sitting on top of my roof like a stealthy ninja. No one saw me. Let me get into more details.
Shelby was in the middle of my drive way and I was thinking,“what if I jumped on the fourwheeler to pick her up”. That plan did not end up so well. I got on the big red creature called a four wheeler. The first thing I smelt was burning wood. The fumes swept through the air into the cracks of my helmet. That red beast was roaring when I held down the throdahl. As I first started moving it felt as if time stopped.

I woke up with my brother and some other people staring at me; I was dazed and confused. I started screaming at everyone. I screamed, “am i going to die?” to Shelby. When I saw my brother walking away I yelled, “James I love you, tell mom and dad I love them too!” Shelby was laughing at me. Everyone told Shelby to shut up, because they thought I might have been seriously hurt. After I was able to see properly my family rushed me into the car to go back to my cabin. I was crying my eyes out so much so that I had no tears left to cry. I got back to my cabin and both Shelby and I had some kind of cut. Shelby had a big cut on her hip, and it was bruised really badly. I had a really big cut and bruise on my back. We could barely walk; the slightest touch of my foot hitting the ground hurt my back so badly. After I sat in bed with shelby all day we talked about it, and she apparently said slow down not speed up. Being honest I don't really know what happened. I might have passed out while riding the fourwheeler. I could have been not paying attention. I could have just been plain stupid. All I know is that I will not make that mistake again. I have learned to not go as fast

So it finally snowed! I’m happy that it finally did and I built a snowman during the storm and it looks kind of…squared you could say. Since the snow is heavy, more of the leaves are now fallen off and it’s starting to look like winter. Today I went to my grandparents’ house to spend the few nights until thanksgiving. While driving out there, the corn fields and the bean fields were all covered with snow, you could tell that the deer were out and about since you could clearly see the footprints in the snow.…

The car crept forward slowly along the tiles, then shot across the floor. The wheels stopped spinning and the whole frame stopped abruptly about three feet from our 12 meter mark. Things had changed in the beast’s castle. Though the world outside was always shrouded in snow and night, the halls of the keep were always full of candlelight. Rosa and the beast rapidly became great friends with each other in the days following the shift into winter. Every day from bell to bell, they seldom left each other’s sides. “…And that’s more or less a complete history of the United States,” Rosa said, finishing her lecture on American history as they both stepped back into the entrance foyer, lit up by a restored crystal chandelier.…

My experience with the after school book club at Madison Elementary today was an exciting yet my patience was tested by a seven year old little boy named Jose. Today I was excited to see if my group would enjoy the book, “Where the Wild Things Are,” due to the fact everyone agreed they enjoy reading adventure books. Consequently, one of my group members, Jose, had already read the book and watched the movie and let the whole group know it was “boring.” Already bored he instantly lost interest in the book and the group and was making it known by distracting the other group members around him. Usually his partner in crime, Gilbert, agrees with him and goes along with him but this time was different and he ignored his friend because he was actually…
