It was a perfect day to go sledding the winter of 2014. I went along with my neighbors McKenzie, Noah and Hunter. My siblings Averil, Elias and Xavia also came along. We were sledding on the small hill by the District Service Center. We always wanted to see who made it further down the hill. After a while my brother found a jump a little ways down the side of the hill. My friends and siblings all went over the jump, well all except for me. Eventually they convinced me to go over the jump. There was one problem, I was on my knees! As soon as I got to the bottom my left ankle hurt, but not a stabbing pain and I didn’t complain. Then, I kept sledding, but I did not go over that jump again. Later that night it started to hurt again and I told my mom. Then she grabbed some ice for me to put on my ankle. My mom and I took her advice and went to get my Aircast from a store. The aircast was a white plastic outside with a blue air-filled pad. There was Velcro around the bottom of my foot to keep it on and then I had to get used to it because it felt weird to have it on my foot where it was. Even after the Aircast, my ankle still hurt. My doctor thought that we might just have to put a cast on it.Then, she sent us to her husband at St.Cloud Orthopedics. First he did an x-ray. He told us that we will have to put a cast on it because it is not getting any better. Later that week we got my cast put on. I got rainbow colored cast. It felt unnatural to have the wet plaster on my foot. As soon as my cast was on and dry, I had to learn how to walk with
