Personal Narrative Essay: The Murder Across The Street

Improved Essays
So there was a murder across the street. Of course, I was one of those paranoid people on the street. But the thing was, I was just across the street of where the crime scene is. The police came to my door and asked me questions. I just told them I was at a party when the murder happened. But what they told was that that the murder got away and to lock everything, and be aware of your surroundings. Of course I locked anything I can lock, even I put a lock on my pantry doors! And I would keep a knife beside my bed just in case. About a month later, I forgot to lock my door, but I didn’t think much of it, because I thought they caught the murder already. But no, as wrong. About 2:46 I woke up to the sound of my door squeaking open, I quickly …show more content…
What I could make out was, he looked like a 42 year old man, and he was dragging a bag, human sized bag. While he was dragging the bag, trail of blood followed behind. But he also had a hook for a hand, like from those pirate movies. I snuck back upstairs and called the police. By the time they got here, they found nothing. Not even a trail of blood. That morning, I went for some fresh air, as I felt myself going insane. As I walked down a path in the forest, I saw a house. Curiosity killed the cat, I walked in the abandoned house and looked around. It had the smell of a thousand dead mice locked up in a small room. As I walked upstairs, the smell got worst. But what I saw next chilled me to the bone, the man I saw in my house was hanging there from the stairway. But as I turned, I saw a room, with a box in the middle of the room. The room was empty, plain, but with just a box in the middle. Curiosity got to me once again, I walked to the room and opened the box. Lying inside it was the body of a dead child, curled up inside. I jumped back, I had enough. I called the cops and waited intensively for them to get here. Once they got here they went upstairs and found the little girl, but not the man. He was gone, but

A lot of people want to blame the parents of the offenders, asking “what did you turn your child into?” 36% of serial killers were physically abused, 26% were sexually abused, and 50% were psychologically abused (Mitchell and Aamodt 45). Many people have logically come to the conclusion that just because someone is abused, it does not mean that they will become a serial killer; or even a murderer; which is true. In the general population (people who have never committed murder) only 6% are physically abused, 3% are sexually abused, and 2% are psychologically abused (Mitchell and Aamodt 45). The dramatic difference of abuse frequency between people who are serial killers and people who are not seems evident enough to support that serial killers are created.…

He barked at Joey about some stupid shit, handed him a cup of brew, and sped down 4th Street, they were on their way to the rear entrance of the police station. "Park here Tony, the morning crew isn 't in yet.…
