Personal Narrative Essay: The Most Significant Night Of My Life

Improved Essays
It was the most significant night of my life. I remember it like it was yesterday. It happened on a night during the summer before freshman year. My parents and I didn’t always get along well. There was a lot of tension in my family early on. My parents got married December 21, 1998 and I was born July 7, 1999. I never really thought much about it because it seemed normal. A year earlier I found out that I had been conceived before my parents were married. One night the thought just popped into my mind and I realized that it wasn’t 9 months from the time my parents got married to the time when I was born; it was only 7 months. The next day I asked my mom about it and she finally told me the truth about that situation. I felt like that had explained …show more content…
They were my best friends and I could go to them for comfort. That night the dogs were in their kennels so I went over there and was petting them and they gave me kisses. Their kennels were close to my room and I had the radio on in my room. I had it on K-Love (98.9), a Christian radio station and the song How He Loves by David Crowder came on and all of a sudden I was in this beautiful meadow. The grass was a deep green and there were many pretty wild flowers some yellow some white. The air was fresh and there was a refreshing breeze. The grass and flowers were dancing in the wind. Suddenly Jesus was there standing in front of me. He was dressed in all white and was wearing a robe. He was very bright and He was glowing. I could still hear the song and Jesus was dancing with me. I looked up at Him and He told me He loved me. After that I was back in my room. I was balling my eyes out. I finally understood what it meant to be loved by God. He loves us no matter what. Because of that moment I know that I am loved, I am beautiful, I am a child of God, and I am wanted and I have worth and value and I am enough. Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. We are not alone. God is always pursuing us and He never gives up on us. That night I stepped into a deeper relationship with the Lord. With Him I can get through any situation. He is a good father and a great loving …show more content…
I am actually grateful to my mom for that fight because had that not happened I wouldn’t have had the experience with Jesus and I wouldn’t have the understanding that I have. I had to experience what it is like to not be loved to fully understand and appreciate being loved. After having this experience I now know that I am loved unconditionally. There is nothing that I can do that will cause God to love me any less. I also have a deeper connection and relationship with God now that I didn’t have before. I grew up in church and my parents were heavily involved with the youth ministry but I just never really made any connections. After this moment something clicked and I finally got it. Jesus loves me and He is pursuing me and wants a relationship with me. This is when I decided I really wanted to live my life for God and I stepped in to a deeper relationship with Him. I said, “Jesus I am all yours. I am putting my life in the palm of your hands.” Now God is at the center of my life and everything I do flows from the Holy Spirit who is in

I got what I came for and left. As I was walking out the door, I heard the Lord saying, look up at the window. When I looked up, I saw a baby playing in the window, all I could see was his hands and head where he was pulling his up, I said to myself, I pray the baby is not trying to climb out of the window. I yelled up to the baby; I told him not to play in the window to go back; the baby lost his balance and flip over. As the baby was falling seem like it was in slow motion I was just standing there watching the baby fall once he hit…

Drunken Escapades Intoxicated adults are extremely difficult to babysit and keep out of trouble; especially, when they cause troubling situations that affect everyone. I learned this while helping my boyfriend, Drew, watch his father while his mother, Rebecca, was at work for the night. At the beginning of the night, around five in the afternoon, my boyfriend, Drew, and I decided to take his father, Scot, to Jefferson’s for dinner. This seemed like a harmless idea.…

Alternative: No one talk about what happened at the party. Stakeholder: Ourselves. If we go forward with no one saying anything about what happened at the party, the only values and principles we would be upholding is our loyalty to Simon. Something in me has always known that I was not typical. In this generation, the typical person would graduate high school and then go on to pursue a two to four year college degree. Up until a few months ago, that was what I thought I was going to do. I thought that I was going to go to a private college somewhere, major in law, come out to be a defense attorney, and spend my days and nights hauled up in a courtroom somewhere. I believed that that was going to be my reality not because I wanted it to be but because I thought it had to be.…

I didn’t not know what I was expecting. On the first day of high school, I stepped into a crowd of students, waiting to enter the building that would become my second home for the next four years. I didn’ not know where I would stand among these highly accomplished individuals, or if I would even amount to the standards set before me. Self-doubt began to fester inside of me as soon as I stepped through the front doors. I expected less and less of myself as time went on.…

One Defining Moment The house makes me feel safe -- cozy even. The loud chime of the large grandfather clock pressed against the wall, and the tinkling sound of wind chimes blowing along with the breeze feeds my illusion of security. I can only hope karma won’t catch up with me. I gaze at the many photos I have collected over the past year, remembering each one as if it just happened yesterday. My mind wanders, transporting me through the various memories of my life, the past mingling with the present.…
