Personal Narrative Essay: The Many Different Forms Of Pain

There are many different forms of pain. One Saturday just like any other, me, my dad, and my brother hooked up the trailer to the truck. We did this almost every Saturday. Since we borrowed my grandmother's mower to mow our yard, we had to mow her yard too. Our trailer is in pretty bad shape. It gets the job done, but the gate is close to falling off, one of the chains has been ripped off, and the backlights do not work at all. Morning dew was still on the ground, which made my shoes wet. I should've been more careful knowing my shoes were wet. I helped dad back the truck up to the trailer like I always do. Once he had the truck in place, we lowered the trailer down at the ball on the back of the truck. He then hopped onto the mower and backed it onto the trailer. As he finished doing this I was strapping the mower down as he instructed me to do. We closed the gate and everything looked ready to go. …show more content…
Instead of going around the back of the trailer, like I should've done, I ran up to the neck of the trailer and was just gonna climb over it. That was when it happened. As I put my foot on the neck of the trailer to step over it, my foot slipped. When my foot slid off the neck of the trailer it was almost as if it had turned into a beast, and bit a chunk out of my shin. At first all I saw was a hole that was white as a bone. It happened so quickly I didn't even feel the pain at first. Then blood started gushing out and I started to feel pain. A pain that burned like fire no matter what I
