Personal Narrative Essay: The Life Of A Cat

Improved Essays
I stepped into the house, closed the door, threw my schoolbag towards the sofa, walked straight into my room and lay on bed immediately. This week has been extremely exhausted for me and I could finally grab a chance to give myself a rest. While I was sleeping like a log, I could feel that something make leg itchy. I tried to kick it away but it seemed to be quite heavy and furry. I opened my eyes unwillingly and found that my cat, Sam, was trying to use his furry paws to wake me up. I then took a quick glance at the clock; it was already eleven at night. I had done nothing but sleeping for six whole hours, while I still had tons of homework to finish by tomorrow. But before all, I had to feed Sam as well as myself. Both of us were awfully …show more content…

Everything happened to be so peaceful and the life of a cat was just too cozy and perfect. On the other hand, for Sam, it was a totally different situation. I went to school at four in the afternoon to pick Sam, and during the time when we walked home, he seemed to be depressed and dull. I tried to invite him to play with me, but his eyes were dim and he just kept silent. “Okay, he’s tired only,” I comforted myself, “maybe it is difficult for him to adapt to such a busy life.” However, it was not that …show more content…

I knew that I was only a cat and I could not bear such physical burden so I tried my best to walk through every place as quick as I could. However, it seemed to have nothing found. Feelings of depression, anxiety and impatience all came up and I was totally desperate. I didn’t know what to do. I began to keep on running and running for no reason, just to vent all my negative emotions. But it only led me into exhaustion. I fell on the ground and could not stand up again. I lay on the floor, and discovered a tiny bottle of water somewhere right next to my furry paws. Feeling extremely thirsty, I immediately drank it without a second of hesitation. “Help!...” I yelled. Some unknown strong and bright light suddenly appeared in front of my eyes and there was no way to escape from that light. I could not see anything, and then collapsed at the centre of the

My friendly, vociferous cat usually awakens me early as possible to feed chunks of tuna, canned breakfast to Frescolita and her feline, stray cats. Cats were a great responsibility akin to taking care of a child. Cats live their own lives, needing attention and care. A year of pestering, however, got me the result I wanted - we went to the Toronto Humane Society to look for a cat in March of 2013. We had decided on the week of March break; my parents would be at work but I would be alone in the house, so there wouldn’t be any times when the cat was alone initially. When we first reached the Humane Society, my eyes lit up as six of seven cats were in a large, dimly lit playroom, relaxing.…

Like right now as i’m typing this essay she is waiting for me to go lay down in my room so she can nurse and cuddle with me, she also just used the floor as a scratching post. Like I said before nearly everything upstairs is old…so it’s bound to smell old. When I walk into my room upstairs without touching it for a few days or so it usually smells like an old book and cat combined. When it starts to stink I light my “Vampire Blood” insense and that smokes me out of the room and I air it out for awhile. And last, the dust smell.…
