The King of the Forest
Every summer Lena went to visit her grandparents. She would spend the whole summer with them. It was her most favorite time of the year: spending every minute of every day out in the warm summer sun or splashing in the summer rains was the happiest Lena ever felt.
From the very first moment she stepped onto the train that took her for hours and hours down to her grandparents’ home Lena would have the biggest smile beaming across her face thinking about everything she would do while she was with them.
She loved swimming in the cool ocean, she loved exploring the beach, she loved adventuring in the forest and she loved finding berries and mushrooms to pick. She loved riding her bicycle, she loved climbing the trees all

She got onto the train to head out of the big city towards the beautiful nature and her grandparents’ home, and she kept her eyes glued to the window just in case she spotted a moose.

She was rushing too much though and she didn’t realize that one of the rocks was wet and very slippery. She slipped off the rocks, twisted her ankle and fell to the ground with a crash and a loud yell. “Oh nooooooo!” she cried out in agony. Her ankle throbbed with pain and she couldn’t help but let out a few sad sobs.
She took a deep breath and thought about what on earth she was going to do now. She tried to stand up but couldn’t put any weight on her foot. It was just too sore and she fell back down to the ground. She didn’t want to give up so she tried a good few more times but each time she felt as though she was only hurting her ankle even

Reflecting on the college application process, I noticed that the college essays were stressed very highly, but all the prompts ask for the same thing. Whether they are asking for an eventful moment, your passion, a hobby, or a chosen outsourced prompt, many students seem to convey the same messages in their essays. To get around this, one must ask a more inconspicuous prompt where the student’s character shows through their unique ideas. A prompt that is universal, conveys a meaning, and is always answered uniquely must ask for a narrative: Write a creative story. Walking through the woods one night, Agatha Johansson could not wait to arrive at her friend’s house.…

My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…
