We take our lives for granted to often. Everyday we get up and go through our normal every day routine. A lot of times we grumble and moan about all of the things we “have” to do throughout the day. We spend too much time complaining about how many things we have to get done, but we never stop and think about how blessed we are that we have the ability to do everyday activities until we can't anymore.
It was a cold October evening. The perfect night for a football game. There was a slight breeze that let you know it was fall, and an excitement in the air that let you know it was time for football. We elected to receive the ball. Moments later the ball was lined up for kickoff. The first series we went three and out giving the ball to CAK on our forty five yard line. Soon after, Blake made a tackle in the backfield, stripping the ball, and giving it back to us. From then on it was a shootout. It was like a boxing match as we exchanged blows trying to get a feel for one another. The first half was coming to an end and CAK had the ball looking to take one more shot down field. The ball was snapped, an immediately after I was into the guard’s chest trying to make a play on the quarterback. As I thought I had gotten by the guard, I felt a sharp intense pain as the tackle next to him stomped down onto my oddly positioned foot. As his foot struck mine, I felt a pop on the inside of my foot. After the play, I went over to our trainer and had her wrap it. I finished out the game trying to keep my mind on winning the game. The rest of the night didn't go how I wished it had, however. We ended up losing to CAK by a score of 14-28. I was disappointed, but I was looking forward to beginning playoffs.
