My friend asked me if I wanted to go hang out at the I said I would be able to make it, but I did not ask my parents yet I expected them to say yes but, I was in for a terrible surprise. I hung up the phone and went downstairs to ask my dad if I could go to the park. He said, “no! it is too dangerous out there”. I didn’t want to talk back; I knew that talking back is disrespectful. It was a typical Friday night, in the spring of 2003, my mom had just dropped me off at the gas station so I could go over to my dads. Needless to say I woke up on a couch, in a house I’d never been to. I started crying and frantically looked for a phone, so that I could call my dad.…
