Do you want to know how I grew up from a small town in Iowa to the best football player and coach? When I was about 8 I started playing football. I was the best linebacker in high school and college football. I was the 1st, 1st round pick in the NFL draft. Retired and became the best football coach in history.…
“Clock it, clock it, clock it, I yelled once again, we lined up quickly and I attempted to clock the ball. The problem was I bobbled the snap and took a step back before spiking it. I was called for intentional grounding and the ball was spotted at the six yard line for our next play. Next we used our last time out since there were only 3.7 seconds left on the clock. “What do you think Nick, do we dare run a slant corner to Derek” coach Morris asked.…
If I can overcome this, I can overcome anything My father had always told me, “A small setback is just only a setup for a great comeback.” I had played football practically all of my life, from Little League Football to High School Football. It was my freshman year of Highschool, and football season had just begun. There was nothing to stop me from playing football for the rest of my life, so I had thought.…
and they threw on 3rd down I went for the wide receiver and picked the ball off and ran back for a touchdown. 35-34 we went for a 2 point conversion and got it. The score now 36-35 and there was 10 seconds on the clock the other team went for a pass and I sacked him my 4th sack of the game. Now there’s only 1 second on the clock they snapped it and threw an incomplete pass for us to win the game.…
As I was, once again, sitting on the bench watching my fellow teammates play baseball against another team. I thought to myself, I loved playing football and wrestling, all of my experiences during those seasons were awesome... and then came baseball season. The only sport which I have grown to hate. As I continued to think I began to realize the head coach completely destroyed my love for baseball. I am like a son to my football and wrestling coaches.…
We were down by three points with fifty-seconds left in the game. I had trust in our amazing clutch quarterback, Tony Romo. He slung the ball down the field, and it seemed like it was in slow motion. The ball was in a spiral traveling yard by yard. It finally hit the receiver’s hands in the end zone.…

I would like for you to get to know me a little bit better. I'm going to tell you just a few of my passions. You can tell a lot about someone by their interests. The next play was a short pass play to preston it was a dead on hit to his chest he ran it for 7 yards and a first down. Next was a run to to Owen Holverstott who juked several kids out and ran to the end zone for a touchdown! The extra point was also good so the score was 7-0. We kicked it off and they let their fastest player run it for about 25-30 yards. Next they tried a bomber to that same kid near the end zone but he didn’t catch it right and Sawyer was able to pluck it out of the air and tuck it under his arm and start running before the other team realized.…

It was a brisk fall evening with the sun just about to set behind a hill. I was 10 years old, playing in my third season of football, and my first ever game under the bright lights surrounding the high school stadium. The time had finally come, the lights had been on and warming up for several minutes, I was going to play a game under the lights on the high school field. My experiences that night were not forgotten, but today I couldn’t even tell you if we won the game that night. The lessons I learned that night weren’t about winning and losing, I had done plenty of that already in my life.…
