“Beep Beep, Beep Beep, Beep Beep”. It was the first day of 8th grade and my brothers first day of middle school so I woke up my brother because I was so excited. I went to my closet thinking of what outfit I should wear. So I put on the first one “Freddy, do you think this dress looks cute” I asked “No! Why are you going to wear a dress to school” Freddy yelled. “Yeah ok I don't want people thinking i'm a show off or anything, but first of all better for you to stop yelling at me or the way I will...ok”. Anyways I still ended up wearing that dress and it was time for us to go so I woke up my mom so she could come with us to school. I told Freddy to call daddy and see if he is on his way, we were outside when I told my mom that daddy was picking …show more content…
The reason why I was crying because she always says things that are not even true and it really bothers me and my brother was crying because he doesn't like to see my mom crying. The most embarrassing thing was my friend Kesiy was in the car with me. Anyways we did get to school with tears in my eyes then I went into the school laughing because everyone was in the way and I was doing my african accent I always do. “My friend can move out of my side before I just…. Better for you” after trying to look for what homeroom I was going to, the teacher told me to go the cafeteria while my brother went on to the gym. As soon as I entered to the cafeteria I heard “Ivyyyyyy, Ivy, Ivyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.” and it was my friend Ann marie I was so happy, finally someone to talk to. So everyone hugged each other until there was that one group that one group that was so loud, but no hate towards them it was cute. The funny thing is that the people you said/did talk to you before or last school year didn't even bother to come up and hug or said “Hi I missed you”. But I didn't let that bother me Mr.Glasby dismissed us to our homeroom, I walked in there and then there it goes people …show more content…
I walked in and then so confused because there was a whole bunch of 7th graders then I asked the teacher “Is...is this my class” Then Mrs.Becker said “Yeah this your class”. Then I walked in noticing that she got my country's flag on her wall and the reason why this made me happy is because our country isn't known to be known. So it was cool that now my country is represented somewhere in this school. To be honest french was ok the only thing that made me confused in how she's talking, her accent and the way she says some words because africans and americans have their own way to speak their french or their own accents. It was the last period of the day and I was so happy to be getting ready to go home I just walked in so mad that that it's only the first day. We’re getting settled and I like Ms.Cain she's straightforward I guess I don't know but and I like her laugh it's funny and annoying at times. She gave us papers taught us what's going to be happening in this class you know the usual. After that the thing I was waiting to here the whole day was the announcement saying it's time to go home just wonderful. Went up the stairs, went to my locker , walked out the door, met with my friends, went into the

Literacy Narrative What is Literacy?Google defines literacy as “the ability to read and write.” Literacy plays a major role in our everyday lives, writing our essays that are due within two days, writing a post on facebook, reading a text message, etc. Everyone experiences literacy in a different way, some experience a struggle, not being able to comprehend the purpose of literacy or avoiding it. and others thrive in it. My experience was somewhat neutral due to the fact that as a child I loathed reading and writing, but as I went on through my education I grew to love it.…

I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…

The beginning of eighth grade, in all of its horror and glory. Students in hordes piling up at the front doors, a jumble of frenzied emotions. New people, new clothes, new supplies, new teachers, new schools, new locker, new classes, new, new, new. I could feel the anticipation in the young sixth graders eyes, the excitement in the seventh graders expressions. Then, there was my grade.…

Prior to middle school, I thought I was satisfied with my position. I had friends, got along with my teachers, excelled in sports, and got decent grades in my classes. Back then, I thought this well-roundedness I sought between these necessities would offer me self-satisfaction. Little did I know, however, that I was going to confront this well-rounded nature of mine during my first awards ceremony in middle school. Among the most intelligent, artistic or athletic of the students present there, I was the one of the few who simply struggled to stand out.…

It all started after my first cheer practice. The cheer team was laying around on the freezing, uncomfortable floor in coach Cook’s classroom waiting for the longest cheer parent meeting to be over, when one of the girls say,”Instead of sitting here bored out of our minds, let’s play a game!” One girl comments,”Let’s play HIde and Seek around the school!” All of the cheerleaders agreed, and someone started counting and we all started running through the cold, creepy hallways. My friend and I ran to the girls, smelly bathroom, all I could feel was my friend breathing on my neck.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

My first day of middle school was hell, I have always been good at school. My grades have never been bad and neither have my actions and or attendance. Probably from having a mom that is also a teacher. I look at that as a good thing though, watching kids just goof off and not come to school then high school rolled around and it was like I got to look down on them because they did not prepare for bigger and better things. School wasn't bad for me because it was hard, it was bad because i was always shy in school.…

The teacher made me introduce myself and told me to sit down. I felt like I was a deer being stared down by a bunch of hungry beasts. The other students already had cliques established, and no one seemed to jump out of the social construct to say hi. The class proceeded as a normal class would, with lecture followed by questions. The bell rang for lunch time, the students ushered out, and into the cafeteria like wild animals.…

It was there. Its presence marked my final destination. My fear suddenly started to creep over me just thinking about it like a ghost that every child was afraid of, when they turned off the lights. All of a sudden a chill ran down through me and my hands started to sweat of nervousness as I started to write down the homework.…
