Hen House Narrative

It’s almost like someone was wanting me to lose the competition. The fair was in four days and her feathers were everywhere in the hen house, but yet there was no blood to be seen. There’s a fence around the hen house so none of the hens or chickens get out. None of them are free roam. All of the chickens and hens have dark feathers so I had to paint the hen house a bright blue so it would be easier to see them. One of the hens though, is as black as the night sky and in the sun, she glimmers a bluish green on her feathers, but one morning, her feathers were everywhere around the hen house. I started to panic and I rush over there. My hen Heather that I’ve won three years straight with at the fair was gone. I run everywhere across …show more content…
I didn’t care if I got a trophy or a ribbon, it wouldn’t have mattered cause it wouldn’t have been with Heather. My parents weren’t really happy with me, but they didn’t know what I was going through. Heather was like a best friend to me, a friend I’ve never had. We had a funeral for her on Saturday, It was really nice. I heard that Ash won first place with his chicken, I was happy for him, he deserved to win. A few weeks after the fair, my dad went hunting and he found the fox that killed Heather. We knew it was that fox because when he killed it, it was near the place where I found Heather. I still think of Heather, but before she died, she laid eggs and they hatched! They all were so cute and looked so much like

Throughout my life I have always been a daddy’s girl. I would beg my dad to take me hunting, fishing, golfing, to work, and just about anywhere my dad went I wanted to go. We had a close bond until he was diagnosed with stage 3 liver and colon cancer during my senior year of high school. I was devastated by the news since the doctors had given my father about 6 months to live. To top it off, it was the first year I was able to attend a Mardi Gras ball and that year I was supposed to walk my dad out since he was a masker who rode in the organization’s parade.…

As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. So as we were there we were all panicking then I just got really quiet. We went to bed and the next morning Hayden and Jahzara were fighting over food we had from killing Andrew we had a lot of food left over from yesterday but both Jahzara and Hayden wanted that same piece.…

Earlier in the season we won ISSMA state, so coming into nationals we knew we had a pretty good chance of being exceptionally good.…

It was a bright sunny Saturday morning, waking up hearing the birds chirping outside. The sun was shining through the windows throughout the house. When I heard the phone ring the first time, it was around ten o’clock in the morning; I looked over to see my mom running to the home phone that used to sit on the desk in the laundry room. It rang three times before my mom answered.…
