I got involved with summer and club teams and was busy 24/7. There came a point where I had to choose one of the two. I had to be committed to one that I would dedicate the next few years of my life to and willing to put in the work. Something about basketball hit me. I had fallen in love with the game. Just the feeling of being on a court playing with my friends and getting to show what I could do and compete just filled my heart with ecstasy. So, I had quit soccer to play the game I was in love with, because I was not able to attend both soccer and basketball all year round. Therefore, I chose the sport at which I had more passion for. I had now entered high school. It was my freshman year. I was as nervous as could be, just like I was when I was younger. Elementary school basketball and high school basketball are two completely different things. I knew what challenge I had ahead of me, and I was ready to take it on. The end of my freshman year was actually a really good year for me. I had my first experience with varsity basketball and I also learned what I had to do to better myself and reach my goal.
