It was always awkward being the person at the end of the seat trying to hold on for dear life as the school bus did a sharp turn as we got on the freeway. Talking about freeways, that has always been in the back of my mind whenever I’ve taken the bus. Statistically the more you drive the more chances you have of being involved in a horrible accident as the bus falls off the freeway into the LA river. Some people call it irrational fear, but is it really irrational if statistics back me up?
There are many things I’ve learned from taking the bus to school, such as time management. If I had to stay after school it had to be worth it, because otherwise I’d have to come home at 7 PM and start doing my homework and study at that time instead. Independence is something that I needed to learn how to do, since I was the one who had to wake myself up before everyone else and serve myself breakfast in the morning. All these traits are because of my 8 years of taking public transportation to school, and I wouldn’t trade them for
