Personal Narrative Essay: The Death Of Hayden

As summer came to an end, Hayden was getting ready to go to college. He asked me to help him pack for college. So the next day, I woke up, got ready, and went over to his house. He had already started and didn’t tell me what he needed me to do so I sat there. After a while, I got bored so I played games on his phone. I was curious to see if he was hiding anything so I went through his phone. I found a conversation from a “Key West” that he said, “I can’t wait to kiss you and cuddle with you again.” After I got done reading the conversation, Hayden asked me if I could go check on his laundry that was in the dryer; I did, but I had his phone in my hand when I started to walk out. Hayden went to college and I started my senior year. With Hayden an hour and a half away, I was finally able to do what I wanted and hang out with whoever I wanted to. Some of my old friends came back into my life and I made a few new ones. Before I knew it we were going on break for fair. The Tuesday before fair started was weigh-in for all the livestock. After I took care of everything that I needed to for weigh-in, I walked around with one of my friends. While walking around, we ran into Noah. Everything that I had forgotten about from the previous year suddenly came rushing back, including the feelings. Later I received a text from Adriene saying that Noah asked her about me and that he was still interested in me. Hayden came home for fair Wednesday. When he got here I had no emotions about it; I didn’t miss him, I wasn’t happy to see him, absolutely nothing. Since he was back in Findlay, I was forced to spend every second I had with …show more content…

It was supposed to start at 1:30; a few minutes after 1:30 Hayden texted and said that it wasn’t going to start until 2:00. I texted him back and said that it was fine and that I was talking to Noah. When Hayden finally got done, he texted me and I told him I was still talking to Noah. Later Hayden got mad at me because I was talking to Noah so much. I lied to him and said that Noah and I were just friends. Hayden and I went to get food to eat and we took it back to his show box to eat it. I had just got a root beer float and was pretty much finished with it before we got there. A few minutes later I got a message from Noah saying that he was stuck talking to his ex. About the same time, I really wasn’t feeling good and thought I was going to throw up. I told Hayden I would be right back and went over to where Noah was. He shows cattle so he had a fan that I used to cool off with. When I finally went back to where Hayden was he asked where I went and I lied to him again and told him I went to the
