Personal Narrative Essay: Green Skittles

It was Halloween night when my twin cousins, my sister, and I all went trick or treating but came back with no candy. The four of us decided to all dress up as skittles. I was the green skittle, my sister was the purple skittle, my cousin, Addie, was the red skittle, and my cousin Lanie was the yellow skittle. The only bad thing is that the four of us all live out in the country away from the city, so we have to go to random neighborhoods. Every year we try to go to a different neighborhood so this year we decided to go to Applewood Street. Applewood is a neighborhood that goes in a circle so we thought it would be a perfect place to go trick or treating. On the day of Halloween, it started to rain and snow. So we had to choose to either stay home or to go trick or treating in the rain and snow. After some debating we all agreed on going trick or treating. Once my mom dropped the four of us off at the start of the street, we got out of the car and noticed that the only people trick or treating was us and three other groups of people. Once we got to the porch of the house, Kiley knocked on the door and I guy that looked about twenty, opened the door. When he opened the door Kiley said “trick or treat” and the guy said “what” and Kiley repeated “trick or treat” and the guy repeated his self with a confused look on his face. Then after he said “what” for the second time, Lanie stepped up and said “you heard her” and the mystery guy gave her weird look and pointed at Lanie and said “you come with me” and Lanie said “no” so the mystery guy grabbed her arm and pulled her inside. The mystery guy came out about a minute later without Lanie. Then he pulled Addie and Kiley inside but I followed. When we got inside Lanie was nowhere to be found and he lead us three to the basement and locked the door and
