Personal Narrative Essay : The Day Of Snowmobiling At A Cold Day

Improved Essays
It was a bright, white, snowy, cold day. The roads are covered with snow and the fields look like clouds with trees, the edges of the clouds are the snow filled ditches with the ice covered frozen bottoms.
Dad had the day off of work and asked if I wanted to go snowmobiling with him.
I obviously said yes because I’ve wanted to go all year.
After we put on all of our snow pants, coat, gloves, and helmet he helped me get the snowmobiles out of the garage and start them. He was riding his 2012 new Sabercat while I was riding the old 1987 Cougar. We stopped to fill them up with plus grade gas at the Unionville Market, what we call Steves.
After that we started to ride them in Zimmer’s field which is the one behind Steves. Next we rode down near the cold, snow covered, railroad tracks, down one mile to Loomis Road. We were riding in various fields going further and further, it felt like we were jumping from cloud to cloud as we crossed roads to get to another field.
It looked like dad was going to leave me behind him, as he used the fast new snowmobile racing through the fields. I was paying so much attention to driving and keeping up with him that I lost track of where we were, I had no idea where I was. We were speeding through the fields tearing them up as we turned and sped off to another one. As we crossed loomis road, we took off going further and further West. next we were in the field in between Clark and Forest Road not knowing where I was I didn't realize there was

This picture was taken from our pole-barn window, in January of 2014, on a snowmobile trip in Northern Wisconsin. My family’s land has become a midway resting place while snowmobiling; a place to get out of the elements and take in the view of the snow-covered landscape.…
