Improved Essays
Every ambitious person in this world has dreams and goals, and we are always fighting to make real our dreams and achieve our goals. Since I was a kid, cars were one of my biggest passions. I've always dreamed about the day I would be able to have a car of my own, and drive wherever I want to go and without depending on a taxi or on someone else. The day I bought my first car was a day I will never forget and it was the beginning of a long path I am following in order to become who I want to be, and achieve every single goal I have. It was Summer time, June the 30th 2015, I was waiting for my mom to get ready because I was going with her to the super market. When we got there she told me to grab a shopping cart, while she was looking for some of the things we were supposed to buy. …show more content…
For a moment I forgot about my mom being in the store waiting for me and I walked towards the car. There was a phone number written in the windows, so I immediately grabbed my phone and sent a text message. “Good afternoon, my name is Daniel and I am interested in the car you are selling by the Winn-Dixie plaza , thank you”. Then I ran to the super market where I have left my mom. I told her about the car and that I have already sent the owner a text message asking for information. We were in the super market for about half an hour, but for me it so much more than that. I was starting to feel anxious. Every five minutes I was checking my phone, but without any response. After a long, long time for me, in real time about one hour, I was sitting in my bedroom watching Youtube, and my phone vibrated. Finally!, it was a text from an unknown number, but I knew it was the owner. He was telling me to meet him the next day at the same hour I texted him where the car was. I was so happy, that I couldn't believe it, I don't know why but I knew the car was going to be mine. The next day I was extremely anxious. I ask my dad to go with

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

When I ride it's like the earth stops at every corner so I can check to make sure a, loud, car isn't roaring towards me. It's like that feeling in your chest that tells you that everything is going to be ok, yet your mind is screaming at you that it won't be. I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…

One problem with my car is that it looks terrible. The once-shiny paint is now dull and bleached from road salt, there are patches of rust around the wheel wells and fenders. There is a dent in the passenger door that someone left while I was grocery shopping last year, and ever since another student hit my car in the school parking lot, the trunk latch has not worked, and I have had to tie it down with a cord. Furthermore, the interior of my car is no better than the exterior. The carpet is stained from years of carrying around two kids and a dog, and the upholstery is torn in several places.…
