Through the course of life, I’ve been faced with many challenges and obstacles. Having to overcome very hard and complex tasks is never easy, no matter who the person is. But nothing, and I mean nothing, is more complicated and stressful than raising a puppy. The amount of time and effort you must put into raising this young life is extremely demanding. My family and I had never raised a puppy before, but oh my, were we about to find what we had in store for ourselves. This memory in life spans from the loss, gain, and pain of having this young life to raise. I was about four years old when we recieved my very first dog, Lucy. Lucy was a black lab and she was so cool. As a four year old, this dog was just so cool to me. I had never encountered something like this before! I loved this dog with all my …show more content…
This dog was so amazing. I immediately fell in love with Max, as well as my mom did. Max was a black-golden retriever who strutted around like there wasn’t a care in the world! Max was so kind and friendly and delicate, he was perfect. So that is exactly what we did. We went to the shelter and got both the dogs then and there. It was so hard having three dogs in the beginning, but that’s a story for another time. Long story short, Max became my best friend. I loved Max and cared for him unlike anything else. Until, the day Max passed from cancer. I’ve never felt so empty the way I did the morning he left me. I cried for weeks. I still find myself crying over this loss to this day. Max was the most loyal companion there was in the world, and it was absolutely the worst thing to have ever happened to
