It started out like any ordinary summer vacation, Mikayla and I going on our annual vacation where we go to Byron’s Bay and have a good time together, but little did I know something terrible is going to happen.
“Woohoooo” shouted Mikayla out of the window as we passed the ‘welcome to Byron’s Bay!’ sign, I laughed and shouted along with her. We always get the exciting thrill coming back here even though we’ve been coming here together since we were only 10 years old. But this time it’s different, we’re all alone without parents and now don’t have to listen to the scolding’s from our parents about what we do and who we’re with, it’s going to be the best summer of our lives.

Mikayla and I walk into the room and Mikayla drops her stuff on the floor and flops onto a bed, “I bags this one” Mikayla yells, I walk towards the other bed and flop onto the bed the same as Mikayla. I give out a big sigh shut my eyes hoping to get sleep seeing as I’ve been driving non-stop for 4 hours. I hear Mikayla walking around and unzipping her bag, “Tegan want to have pre-drinks? There’s a party down at the beach tonight” I snap my eyes open and look at her, “I’ve been driving for 4 hours I honestly just want to sleep, cant we settle down and start the fun tomorrow? We have 2 weeks. “ Mikayla gives me her infamous puppy dog eyes, “ come on Teags, don’t be a party pooper, you granny” I roll my eyes at her and lay back down. Suddenly I feel a pressure on my chest and can hear Mikayla giggling. “ get off me!” I yell and start laughing. “ got youuu!” Mikayla says I laugh and Mikayla hands me a shot glass before you know it we’ve both downed 7 shots and we’re already off our faces, “ oh my god do you remember the time when we were like 15 and we had our first shot,
