We set up under a tree and placed a turkey decoy to draw them closer. Sitting there was tranquil, as if I did not have a worry in the world. A buck and two doe walked past our …show more content…
Many animals will not step on stones and rocks and they stick to beaten down paths that are softer, or will use scents to attract predators to the trap in search of a meal. There are endless creative ways that are a part of this type of hunting. At the trapping camp, I was intrigued every minute, I was interested mostly with building and designing little makeshift structures that would lead the animal to the trap, I couldn’t wait to try this out when I got home. The following night, I was back home telling everyone about how much fun I had at camp, and I realized I had a passion for designing structures in the most efficient way possible. I cherish the creativity and the challenge of designing structures! Trapping never interested me in terms of hunting the animal; it was the art and the creativity of building the structures that inspired me. I also want to design structures to be the most beneficial and natural for our environment. I want everyone to be able to experience the beauty of the world the way I experienced it that cold May

But when you are walking in the woods you want to try and act like a deer by how they walk also hunters can do this by walking in a erratic stop and go pattern, but simply most easiest way is to just go with the flow because you will never have the same hunt. Deer are mostly accustomed to hearing squirrels running through the leaves and limbs falling from trees, but if a hunter goes out and doesn’t spray any scent on him to cover him up a deer will smell you from miles away and won’t come to your stand. Deer live in the wood twenty four hours, seven days a week they know what sounds are normal to them and what sounds are not if a hunter makes just the slightest noise of something slamming against metal when you are climbing up a stand the deer will get curious around their territory. Another thing that all hunters should do is not let your guard down because the minute that you do the biggest buck of your life could walk right past you and you didn’t get the shot off, but if you don’t let your guard down you have to be calm and quiet because when you see the big buck your adrenaline will kick in and your heart will be racing so much but everything can happen so fast in a blink of an…

Traps use the scent of geraniums or female beetle hormones to attract and detain the beetles so you can dispose of them. You can also make your own trap with a can of fruit cocktail. Open the fruit can and set it in the sun to ferment for a week. Set the fruit cocktail can in a bucket and fill the bucket with water until the liquid sits just below the rim of the can. Beetles will come for the fruit and get trapped when they fall in the water.…

I know this because this is what I would assume today. Again, my childish hope panned out because less than five minutes later the same three deer were back. My dad, who was extremely shocked, told me to calm down and take a long breath, shooting during the exhale when I took the shot. The deer got within twenty yards again. I, being a little more patient this time, slowly aimed at the doe.…
