Personal Narrative Essay: The Another Day Of School

Darkness, that one void of nothingness; nobody likes it, and today is another day of school. Too bad the light switch is on the other side of the room. “Samuel!” Mom furiously screamed as I got dressed in the dark. Turns out, I woke up way too late. I told her that the old, cold, and bumpy couch in the basement was going to keep me up all night. Plus, now Ian and Luke are going to be all over me! Heh, they never finish their homework. Without me, I can’t imagine the consequences they would get. Ever since the rule about… “GET DOWN HERE NOW!” Mom screams with more volume and more anger than before, but at the same time, causing me to lose my train of thought. I get in my mom’s car as quickly as I can attempt to regain my statement I lost early that morning. So I made it to school and as I previously stated Ian and Luke didn’t do their homework, unlike me, unless it’s math. I can’t imagine them being like Timmy. Timmy isn’t his real name, we just say Timmy as if it was a code name. I wasn’t in his class, but I do recall some kids telling me what happened. I think it was something on the lines …show more content…
And a dozen failed attempts at time travel. I think we're doing fine. But what I forgot is that Luke was this huge science nerd, so one day he walks up to be and he’s all like, “Hey Samuel! I found it out, I got time travel!” Of Course I didn’t question it because first off I wouldn’t remember, and second off, I wouldn’t really care. So I go up to Ian and say something along the lines of, “Hey your other nerd friend found out time travel.” and Ian replies in more of a sarcastic tone, “Yeah, we're only a year late!” So Luke takes us to the time machine and… it’s a car. Why a car you ask? I don’t know. Luke tells me he thought of back to the past with the Prius design. Anyway, let’s go back to the past. Or about a year and two days back, to be

Wanting to travel back in time is something many people wanted to do and can do today by visiting places that haven’t changed for hundreds of years and and see how they have changed throughout the time they have visited those places. A place that is never changing and has never changed for over 100 years is a cabin in Iron Mountain, Michigan. When out in the woods there is not much technology being used due to the cellular connection not being the best because of the trees blocking the connection. When coming from a large city, it is hard to not depend on the use of technology and living in a wooded area is a big change for me but over the time of several years it has opened my mind to greater things.…

Exhilarating: a term making one feel very happy, animated, or elated, would be the perfect word to describe what the day had in store for us eager, and jubilant grade 6 students. A thrilled and luminous smile lit up on my enthusiastic face as I ambled on the same rugged, cracked, gray tinted sidewalk that I had sauntered on everyday for a year. The serene, endless sky was the perfect shade of aqua as the light, silky, radiant clouds formed delicate shapes. The sun was glistening with great luminosity. Suddenly I heard someone screaming my name well not really; it was my nickname, one that really agitated me in an incredibly obnoxious way, “Babikathu wait up”.…

In the future, so many things could be possible. People’s intelligence could alter, we could advance in technology, and we could cure diseases. What we thought to be impossible today could potentially be possible in the future. We do not know exactly what the future holds, but we at the least have many ideas. Some of these ideas agree with each other, and some of these ideas conflict with each other as the two Time Traveler films do sometimes.…

Being a high school student is composed of restless nights, and eight exhausting hours of classes in which you are obligated to stay awake in. A normal school day begins with me snoozing my alarm about ten times before my dad walks into my room telling me the dreaded “time to get up for school” reminder which I just take as a suggestion. Normally I will drag myself into the bathroom about ten minutes later to begin my routine. I spend about 40 minutes in the bathroom preparing myself for school and by the time I am done it is usually time to grab all of my things and barely catch the bus. Now this has to be my least favorite part of the day.…

That Day in Fourth Grade “People come into our lives for a reason, bringing something you must learn, and we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return. -Glinda” One of my best friends today, Teonna Frye, has influenced a lot of the choices that have made me into who I am today. I first met her as a “not-so-little,” brown-haired fourth grader. She was a giant that towered over all the kids in our grade.…

I remember my days in high school like it was yesterday. My freshman year I didn’t really know anyone at my school because I was new to the area. Once the school year got started I began to make friends and to be known around the school. So as most people say now I look like a basketball player, back in my younger days I used to play all sports like basketball, football, and baseball. So I had decided to try out for the basketball team.…

As Alex Scarrow said, “Time travel is a terrifying weapon, far more powerful than anything ever conceived, mankind just is not ready for that kind of knowledge. We are like children playing with an atom bomb”. Time travel gives humans power that they are incapable of handling. We often take aspects that have the chance to be used for goodness and use them to benefit our selfish desires. Time travel also puts people in a supernatural place of authority.…

Often we take the small things in life for granted and only end up missing something or someone once they are gone. Turning a clock back won’t change things that have happened so instead of regretting the things you didn’t do, learn to value each moment as you live it. Tim said, “suddenly, time travel seems almost unnecessary, because every detail of life is so delightful,” from this point onwards I reflected on my decisions and came to the conclusion that I should stop wishing I had what other people have and start appreciating the things I do have. Most viewers feel inspired by what Tim says, as we often forget about the small things in life which are often more important, that we only realise we had something once it is gone. Sometimes it is better to live our lives the way we want to rather than the way someone else lives their life.…
