Personal Narrative Essay: Texas Roadhouse And Logan's Road House

Running around the house, I frantically rushed to my bathroom to finish curling my hair for my birthday dinner. My father yells at me, “Have you even decided where you want to go?” For every birthday, my family and I go out to eat to one of our favorite restaurants. Lucky for me, I became the deciding factor. Being steak connoisseurs, my family usually goes to one of our local restaurants, Texas Roadhouse or Logan’s Roadhouse. The similarity of the steak, rolls, price, and service makes this decision even more difficult for me. One important factor is the rolls. The rolls are what defines a Roadhouse. I would prefer a roll that is the larger than the palm of my hand, that is not burnt at the bottom, and that has a sweet taste instead of the …show more content…
My expectations for a restaurant are friendly service, wait time is less than ten minutes, and our food and bill brought to us in 15-minute intervals. As I walked into Texas Roadhouse, the worker welcomed me with smiling faces and uplifting personalities. The hostess, servers, and even the managers were very friendly and helped my family and I if we needing something, or if we had any questions. The only complaint I had was the server could have more prompt when bringing my bill. Having a wonderful experience at Texas Roadhouse lead me to have high expectations for Logan’s Roadhouse. The host from Logan’s Roadhouse greeted my family and me with friendly smiles similar to the one at Texas Roadhouse, but as the host began to make her way to our table, she asked me to grab a kids menu for my little brother. I gave her a confused look as I slowly grabbed the kids menu. It is not my responsibility as a customer to bring silverware, kids menus, and bread to my table. I was very unhappy with the beginning of my experience at Logan’s Roadhouse; however, our server was very friendly. When she brought us our steak, she assured that the steak’s temperature was correct. Unfortunately, mine was not, but she quickly brought me a new steak.
