Twas a Good Day! ( Madison Ollendieck )
It was a cold, windy, September day, Friday to be exact. My mom picked me and my sister up from school and we headed home. It was quite cold outside, so I grabbed a sweatshirt and we were off again. While we drove back into town, my mom asked me if I was nervous. Of course I said yes. I told her I felt like I had a lot of pressure on me because just that previous year, my sister won Little Miss Cresco for 2012. I was just looking at my sister in total shock of what just happened. I was so blissful, I didn’t know what to do, well except help my sister put the sash on me. I first looked into the crowd, finding my parents, who were currently smiling and clapping. To be honest, I think they were just as shocked as I was! I then looked over at Ashley and she hugged me, I swear she was more excited than I was! After it was all quiet again, he notified us about the details of the parade the following day. After we were all done, I ran over to my mom and hugged her and she told me, “See I told you, you could do it!” Right there and then, I felt extremely proud of myself and what I had just accomplished. Afterwards, when we were able to leave, I called my grandma and grandpa and told them the good news! They were very proud of me! I was so happy, I

All of the “outliers” found their talent, loved it and spent as much time as they could learning and perfecting it.…
