Around this time last year, my brother, his 4x100 relay team, and hundreds of other athletes competed in Jefferson City, Missouri at the state track meet. The meet lasted for two days and those two days were completely opposite of each other. The first day was rainy and cloudy, there wasn’t many people there, and there wasn’t much excitement. The second day was nothing even comparable to that. It was sunny and hot, there were hundreds and hundreds of people there, and the stadium was filled with sounds of people yelling. The stands weren’t even hardly filled. But, just like the weather, Saturday was a completely different story. First, when we pulled in, we were an hour early and there was already no where to park. We ended up having to park almost two blocks away! Then, we finally got to the stadium and the line to buy arm bands was just as long as a line of people waiting to ride a roller coaster is! It was insane! After about half an hour, we got our bands and then went it, but it didn’t stop there. It was so crowded in the stadium that we had to wait for someone to get up so we could steal their seats! I think we were there for at least an hour before we actually got to sit down. At this point, I was wishing it was Friday again! Now, along with our disappointment of there not being very many people on Friday, that meant that there wasn’t much excitement going on. There was a few people walking around with food, some standing up, and some cheering; but again, nothing comparable to the second day. That day, I could barely hear what my dad was telling me and he was sitting right next to me!
