Mom always said, “A lady should take care of her appearance!” However, as a child, I was unconcerned about how I looked. My skin was dry, my hair a bird’s nest, and I my clothes looked horrendous. However, I didn’t handle these problems, but rather let them happen. Dating back to the time I encountered one of my crucibles; it was a Tuesday morning, and I was starting 5th grade. I entered the classroom and my backpack dropped onto the floor; I saw princesses. They were beautiful, had long locks of golden hair, teeth as white as snow, and they smelled of roses.
