It was a humid and quiet day with my dad. Sitting in the woods waiting for one thing and only one thing. The only thing to hear for miles was the wind whistling in your ear as it passed. It was the last wednesday of the month, November 29, 2016. The second day of rifle season at the same time the last day of rifle season. A lesson came in as the bullet hit, a lesson that will never be forgotten.
Sitting in the wood’s did not smell delightful, smelled like dirt and that’s it. Freezing sitting in one spot not moving, but in fuzzy layers of clothing. The fridge air blowing up against my Dad and I making it colder. The air felt like a thousand fans blowing at us all at once. The sun starting to set as My Dad ask me “If i can see or hear anything

I trudged onward, feeling the numbing cold of the atmosphere intensify with each hurtling step. Every breath I take now is filled with the icy air of my heart. It pains me so much as the ridgid air spreads the cold blood throughout my veins. The cold in my heart blurs my vision, rimming everything in red. Seconds later, I heard a gunshot whiz past my ear, before more started to follow, thick like winter hail.…

The enrichment activity that I would choose would be Assault Rifle shooting. I really enjoy shooting guns and I it is good to know how. If you know how to shoot a gun then you will be able to, defend yourself, take enjoyment out of shooting, and be able to feed yourself. There are also many ways that it could academically contribute, like the mechanics of the firing mechanism. You could also talk about the environmental effects a shot.…

The Adrenaline that a hunter feels being in the top of a tree stand waiting for the perfect deer to hunt is absolutely incredible, however hunters are not always lucky enough to find their prey. My dad and I began going around the ranch a day before we went hunting, we looked around to see where the biggest deer’s were located. We tested and align the rifles, to leave everything prepared to go hunting the following day at dawn. We were very positive that we were going to be lucky enough to hunt a big trophy deer, tough the results we had were never crossed our minds.…

    Essay On Deer Hunting

Deer hunting is a great sport I love the excitement and the rush that you get from an animal. I am always looking to improve on techniques for being quiet when the deer are approaching my stand I like to stand when a deer is coming than sitting down because it gives me more room and I can pull my bow a lot easier than sitting down. But some hunters like to sit down so they don’t scare the deer away, but I think it’s more of a challenge to do. As a deer hunter there is a right time and a wrong time for standing up when you are in an treestand like for one reason it’s a risky maneuver when you are trying not to spook a deer when standing up.…

I felt a cold breeze fall over my body. The feeling was nothing new but I had no blanket to keep the wind off of my body. How odd it was that last night I had gone to bed beneath layers of quilts and was now in a quite drafty room. I peeled my eyes open to find that I was not at the inn after all but in a room colored blue like the ocean. When I was sitting up a girl walked through the door and yelled a word so vulgar that I dare not write it.…

Hearing the muffled sound of guns firing and seeing everything in a shade of yellow has been a normal Saturday morning for me since I was about ten. The day starts off with a drive to the Los Altos Rod & Gun Club or the Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club with my dad. Knowing that I am about to shoot a variety of guns consisting of: shotguns, pistols, and rifles; causes my heart rate to go up. I am usually the only girl at the shooting range, and I am not the only one to notice. Whenever I step up to take my round of shooting there is always a line of viewers that gathers to watch.…

Sadly, we couldn’t get a shot because it was still way too dark but it definitely got my adrenaline going. That was the exact moment I knew I was going to love hunting. When we finally got to the stand, I crawled up the ladder and sat down on the seat that my dad had provided for me, anxiously waiting for my time to prove that I really could be a hunter. I set my .270 in the corner and sat there patiently waiting for the sun to rise. Watching the sun rise over the horizon was breathtaking.…

My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…
