Personal Narrative: My First Race

My First Race My first race was pretty good. I saw many things that I haven’t seen before, but the thing that really helped is how I got ready for this point in my life.I was practicing since June to run my first race and to keep on going all my four years to compete and to try to be the best, so far, it’s going great. For my first race, to get ready was really hard, all i’m going to talk about is how I got ready a day before, how I did during the race, and after the race.

A day before the race, I was getting ready. Getting my uniform and my shoes in my bag and getting dressed for the cold, so obviously, I was going to take a sweater and some pants. Somewhere around five, I ran a light two mile jog to get pumped for tomorrow. After, like at 7, I did a little bit more and played some soccer to just have some fun before the race. During the day, I ate pretty well. I ate chicken at school and home, and at home, I also ate spaghetti, rice, and beans. Also, i was drinking water all day. Lastly, Before the day ended for me, I got to eat some cereal and fell asleep at nine-thirty to get up the next morning at six.

My dad got up in the morning to also take us to the bus next to Anaheim High School. We got to the bus on time at six twenty exactly. The bus left at six forty and we got the where we were going to run like at seven. The reason why we got there so early is so that we can have time run warm up, go to the restroom, and do other things we needed to do. The announcer said that our race was going to be at eight thirty so that was enough time for us freshmen to stretch, warm up, and go to the restroom. Once it was eight fifteen, our coach ran us to our position to run and at eight twenty eight, he announcer said that that we were going to start. I closed my eyes and prayed to god to helped me in this
