Personal Narrative Essay On Leaving For America

Improved Essays
When I was told that I would be leaving for America in second grade, I was overwhelmed with joy. I thought that now I could finally be with my parents, whom I hadn’t seen since a year ago. I could finally see for myself the wonderful things Mom had described to me over the phone. I couldn’t wait to see what cartoons shows they have, what toys they sell, and what candies they make. Everything since then seemed so bright, and every preparation process was filled with countless expectations and yearnings for what was waiting for me. Leaving everything behind didn’t seem that hard. After all, we could always visit during summer break. It wasn’t like I was never going to see my Grandma ever again. When my mother took me into the first day of class.
