Wow! That is really a very large ant nest, I like the creativity from those expert, to fill with liquid cement a nest to know its size was a great idea. Do you remember what kind of ants were and where do they lived, Ken? I don't know a lot about ant kinds that exist. I was remembering of ants called 'marabunta', also known as army ants, or legionary ants, however I've read they don't build nests with soil like other ants, but they build true living nests with their bodies called " bivouac" which never are the final ones. The ants hold onto each other's legs, and this way they build …show more content…
We have the case of beavers, someone brought them to the province of Tierra del Fuego from Canada several years ago, and they already exceed in numbers to the quantity of human inhabitants, as you may imagine, this is due to they don't have any natural predator that can keep the balance of the nature in that place as happens in North America, so they quickly became in a pest too. They are very damaging for the native vegetation since they use some of the trees for building their bridges, if I am not wrong, in some time, somebody talked to bring bears, but things keep equal, so the beaver colony continues growing. Well, I would never have a pet that spits poison, haha!!, but undoubtedly many people carry their love to exotic animals to heights truly hard to understand. I know of people who had snakes, all those you may get to imagine, living in a flat! They were truly …show more content…
Earth's extraordinary journey'. I can't remember who was its narrator at this moment, but it was a so interesting program, Ken!.. I bet you have seen it.. Did you know that, about 400 million years ago, translational movement of the earth lasted 410 days and its days were only of 21 hours? It seems to be that fossil corals are the proof of this. One of the experts explained that if we look at a current coral we can see certain areas like bands, bright some of them and dark the others, each of which represents one year of the life of the coral, but if we look at a bit more in each one of them, we can see that inside them there are others 365 lines more, these thin lines represent each day of that year, this is due to they also increase their size every day. However, in fossil corals found, the amount of thin lines found inside the bands corresponding to each year, are 410 lines, what would demonstrate that the Earth took 410 days to go around the Sun. In addition, this also shows that days were shorter than today. Since then, the days have been increasing about 2.3 milliseconds each hundred years, and so they will continue, this makes me think if the Earth will stop someday, or if perhaps it is something that already happened in the
