Caleb sat up and said turn that stupid thing off I wanna go back to bed, so I turned it off and looked at him and said get up we have to get ready. We got out of bed and started to get are hunting clothes on, I pulled up the weather on my phone and it was going to be a cold day.We finished putting our clothes on and got our guns ready and put them in the truck. We had and 25 yards to go until entering the timber, and I heard some russliing down towards the river, so we stopped and waited then we started walking and then I heard it again. I was getting a little spooked so I load my gun with 3 slugs and so did Caleb. It was probaly just and early moring coyote. We got to my tree stand unloaded our guns and climbed up.

We found some blood, so we followed the track as far as we could see blood. My dad and I tracked the deer for about 50 yards, and lost blood around a creek. We were standing by this creek bend contemplating about what to do and out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement. I turned my head real quick and I saw the deer’s head pop up. I hurry and grab my gun so I can finish off this beast.…

I was a little calmer after the shot this time; fearing that I had missed again. Do to this calmness I was able to see the doe take off. Just before she disappeared into the evergreens on our right, the same place they had disappeared the first time, I was able to spot a squirt of crimson red blood seep out of her. Usually after you shoot a deer you wait at least 30 minutes to go look for it unless it’s sitting dead in front of you. I barely made it ten before my dad gave in and we climbed down.…

Before we got into places, we heard rustling in the woods where we were heading and right when I got into view of the area I saw the white tail of a deer jumping the fence. We figured it would come back if the area was quiet again. It was about 30 minutes after we were in place was when I heard leaves crunching like someone eating a bag of potato chips. I did not think much of it because I just thought it was another squirrel. But then I saw the body of the deer start coming into view.…
