“DON’T YOU SHRUG AT ME LIKE THAT!” The former college basketball coach growled. His face was red with pure anger. I saw microscopic beads of sweat on his almost-bald forehead. I stared blankly at him having second thoughts about my decision.
It was a Tuesday, after school, during a chilly afternoon in the hump between Winter and Fall. My basketball career had been an up-and-down experience with a single mediocre team, the Warriors. I fit right in the team and everything was perfect... almost. I was finally done with the annual 4 wins-4 losses team. After many days of weeping and thinking I made my decision.
