All I ever wanted was to help, inspire, and encourage others; having people wanting to be you and being moved by your actions and person.
My real start to acting came a little later than I hoped, it wasn't until 2010 when I realized I really wanted to act, I remember the day so clearly; I was downstairs doing some of my “grade 6 school work” when my mom called me upstairs to show me an ad in the paper for munchkin auditions for The Wizard of Oz at Theatre Ancaster. I was ecstatic when I saw this, I have always had a passion for theatre, drama, and acting in general; but, unfortunately I

A couple of weeks later, after eager anticipation I got a phone call from the director of the show, I was devastated to hear that I didn’t get in the show, I was very upset and I cried for quite a long time about it; but, I’ve learned that in life you must be able to take rejection, that became my most valuable life lesson and my main advice to anyone interested in acting. Today, I have went on close to 100 auditions, and 99% of them I didn't get; however, I did not cry because I knew that there was always going to be another audition. The thing is, I ended up actually getting cast in the The Wizard of Oz and the they just “accidentally” wrote my name on the wrong list. About a half an hour later, they called me back apologizing and offered me the role as the Mayor of Munchkin land (which any 10 year old boy would dream of), it was the part I really wanted. I was automatically filled with joy, and what I didn't know is that this event would have lead me to a series of life changing events and future aspirations. I had so much fun doing this show and after that I didn't know where else I would

This summer seems to be the summer of new shows--at least for me. And because many of my favorite actors are going to be guest-starring on the new show Dead of Summer, I developed a tremendous interest in the show iteself as well as the main cast of the show. It just so happens that Eli Goree is one of those regular cast members, and I was quite pleased when he set aside some time recently to answer a few questions about his experience as an actor as well as his thoughts about this new Freeform TV series. My experience in the Mary Poppins cast has been probably one of the best things to happen to me so far in my life. At my old school in 10th grade I was in theatre, then the following year I was bullied out, and I desperately missed theatre. It was my life, I enjoy it so much and it is such a part of me. So coming here and deciding to audition on just the second day of school was a really big deal for me. I was absolutely terrified to, but I stuck through and did it anyways, and I am so happy that I did.…

With an abundance of new characters in “When Calls the Heart” this season, sometimes only the most observant viewers might notice the handful of smaller roles that pop up now and then on the show. I was immeasurably excited when I finally figured out who the character Katie Yost was, and once I connected with the actress who portrays her, Larissa Albequerque, I knew at once that I wanted to find out more about this young actress. Thankfully, she was able to set aside some time recently to chat about WCTH as well as give insight into the occasionally overlooked Katie Yost. What inspired you to become an actress? From the time I was 7 or so, I was fascinated with acting.…

As a mammothWayward Pines fan, I always did my utmost to notice every single character who made an entrance into the season two of the show, even if they were only there for a fleeting moment. In the case of Dakota Daulby, I was fully impressed with his ephemeral appearance, and I contacted him immediately for an interview. Recently, Dakota took some time from his frenetic schedule to answer a few questions about the extraordinary experiences and opportunities he has had throughout his career and even some hints as to what is up ahead for him. dakota-hs-1.jpg.jpg RH: What inspired you to become an actor?…

Every since I was deemed old enough to watch The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by my parents, it was from that moment on, I knew that I was cut out for cinema. Although it wasn’t until I was starting high school that I realized if I worked hard enough, my dream could become reality. Traditional schooling would do almost nothing for my film career, so I’m eternally grateful for the Film Connection program, because I know that this program will give me the tools to launch my film career and help me succeed in the industry. My entire life I have always wanted to do something where I would be remembered positively by many people. I recall always telling myself I was going to become a backup dancer for a famous singer, become a singer myself, or maybe an actress. Better yet, I thought I could have been all three. As I entered middle school, I realized those goals were too surreal to even become the slightest bit possible, mainly since I am located in an area that most people haven’t even heard of. Back then, I was very uncertain about any career goals I have had.…
