My Trip To Myself I have been traveling for a while now. My family and I go visit Mexico almost every summer ever since I can remember. We go to Mexico usually to visit my family and to just relax and have a fun time. However one summer when I went to Mexico a lot of things happened that made an impact on my life. So my parents had decided that my mom would go to Mexico and check up on him and his family, while the rest of us would stay a bit longer to finish up school and take care of some business …show more content…
Usually, from here to the part of Mexico that i’m from it takes around 4 days. Yet when we went with my mom’s cousin it took us like 2 days. He went through some really strange roads. The roads would curve in strange ways and somehow we would end up on cliffs. Within these strange roads were little kids begging for food, but nobody would give them any and they would get pushed to the ground. Once we finally got to the airport, we said our goodbyes to our family and went in to wait for our flight. Since this was my first time riding a plane I didn’t know anything. So when we had to put our bags on this weird thing so it could be put underneath the plane, I did not know that we had to put our names on the bags. So we asked the people working there if they had seen my bag, but they responded that they had not seen it, so I believe that someone stole it. My parents told me that I should have been more responsible and taken better care of my things. Ever since then I have made sure to be more responsible and take care of my

When I was eight years old, my mother and father took me on my first trip to Mexico. Later on in my life I was able to learn the life lesson that my parents were trying to teach me with taking me on that trip. My family, from both my mother and father's side has always lived in poverty. My mom and dad have both been working since they were children, out in the fields and having to take big breaks from school because their families needed them to work. They learned to earn everything they wanted and usually did not receive what they wanted for the money they did have, had to be wasted on food for the whole family.…

I have always been interested in other cultures, despite growing up in a small midwestern town. As a young child, I was fascinated with flags and maps of countries and dreamed of traveling to other parts of the world. Although my parents were not wealthy we had done a fair bit of traveling within the United States. My first recollection of people outside the United States were refugees sponsored by the church my parents belonged to. The refugees were from the country of Laos escaping the conflicts in Southeast Asia in the 1970s.…
