I was sitting with a boy my age, 17 and we were getting into conversation as country music sung in the background. He’s a jewish boy how loves his family dearly, and comes off as a kind man. it was around 2:00 and felt like it was 6:00, he sat with a slump and twiddled a pen spring, in-between his thumbs hesitantly as I collected my papers to begin the interview.

I am an Introverted person, someone who keeps to themselves but has a lot to say… It’s Tough. Always being in the background can feel ruff sometimes and its something that I’ve been dealing with for a wile. At the same time i love being an outsider, as my mom always said "its boring being normal” and i tend to live by this as much as i

I love the architecture and the culture of Europe its always amazed me. I Love History, and Europe is full of rich history the buildings are decked with art work from many hundreds of years ago. There are beautiful cassles, art work and you can even visit were the pope sat, there was a 100 day period of time were the pop sat in France. The feeling that if you look out side its the same view as an accent frenchman would see. Its mainly my love for history that pushes me to explore my boundaries and it a really exiting idea to think one day i might live in Europe and that something I’m going to strive to do.

During The prep for my Barmitsva was one of the best bonding moments for my family I’ve really ever had. I had to read from the Tora which meant i had to learn some Hebrew. My family all shared there own Tora portions and helped me finish mine to become a man. This was a moment ill remember for as long as I live. I can still speak some of the portion i had to memorize. My dad remembers his portion from 40 years ago, which still amazes me. It’s a true bonding

I then shook his hand, thanking him of being able give me time to know more about him. We then parted ways, wherein after a few moments after Kyle left, I had some internal reflection, thinking about what had transpired in the interview. Hmmm. Maybe the school atmosphere isn’t so bad, even for introverts as brilliant and at the same time as not-so-outgoing as Kyle Dulay. Maybe, we are already in the point where the four nations are at the verge of being at peace.…

Journal Entry 1 Last year and the year before that I felt like an outsider. It wasn’t because no one liked me, or I ate lunch by myself. I wasn’t the “normal” situation of being that random kid in the group. It was more that I have so many parts of my personality that differ when it comes to being fully a part of a clique. For example, I love going shopping and playing sports, but I love all things nerdy.…

Michael Jordan once said, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Being born to two immigrants, who have never completed college, and growing up in a low-income family of six individuals, I have faced nothing but a myriad of obstacles in my life. Although at times I have struggled to overcome these challenges, I have always persevered and pushed past each one with my determination to be the best I can be, which has matured me into the young adult I am today.…

In Boundaries of the Soul, Singer uses Jung’s ideology to define what a persona is: “…a character or stance through which we can relate… the name given to the masks worn by the actors of antiquity to signify the roles they played…oriented toward… the expectation of society that an individual may have.” (pg. 158) Singer believed that the persona could hold a positive purpose in mediating between a person and his or her society. She believed that a person’s persona functioned to point out what his or her personality is like, allow that person to adapt to society’s expectations and requirements, and it aids in identifying who a person is in any given situation. Singer said that many people find their identities within their personas, which could…

Race is a common factor when commenting on a person who is trying to define who they are and identify themselves in a group of people. The fact however lies that race is not a biological concept as stated by and is rather a social perception. The way one chooses to identify their race and who they are as a whole plays a part on who they are and sometimes even their social class within the life they live. Through racialization and racial formation both in and out of the Americas even Susie Phipps was able to identify that even if you have an ounce of black you are considered black in the US because it is a way to identify as a social concept and ideological process along with Omi and Winant 's thought process. Racial identity is the classification…

A time that I felt like an outsider was at a family gathering last year. Being the youngest and having a large family makes it difficult in meeting everyone especially being shy. So, meeting new people for the first time was a little difficult for me. When it came to family events I always dreaded them because random family members always come up to you saying “Oh my gosh! I haven’t seen you since you were a baby (you were a kid).…

I like to be in big groups and be social with a lot of people go to places with a group of friends and hang out. But I do love when I can just sit in my room alone and binge watch Netflix and just be by myself. When I’m with my friends I’m hyper excited and just filled with a bunch of emotions; but when I’m alone I’m calm and relaxed. From time to time I like to just go take a drive alone out to a lake and kind of just sit there and relax, while I listen to the water and the animals and everything that’s around me.…
