Personal Narrative Essay: My Most Aspectable Memories Of A Family's Life

Improved Essays
Ok, I lived an odd life, even though anyone can say that. Anyone can say that about their lives and their memories they have; the weirdest thing about my life is that I shared it across two different town, which to some is tremendously terrifying to try and twig. Nonetheless, I made many memories in those towns with my family and with friends. In this I shall tell of these extravagant adventures that took my friends and I on a romp through all the hills and pastures that I call home. My first story is my most memorable memory that I can remember of my grandparents’ house. It was a 4th of July party at their house, all my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and parents were there. I was one of the many people setting off fireworks that day, and my grandparents had a green shed we called, “The Green Bin”, which held a canoe and a paddle boat and had a ladder leading up …show more content…
It was in the bathroom that was closest to my room, with my room being on the north end of the house down a long winding hallway. I had just taken a steaming shower and had dried off a bit, when to my surprise, I had a chest hair. Being a thirteen year old boy, I thought of that as an accomplishment. My brother had walked into the bathroom and saw me looking at the hair on my chest, in which I turned to him and told him I finally had one. What happened next enraged me beyond belief because of the pain. My brother, who was maybe 10 at that time, decides it was a wonderful idea to pluck that hair on my chest as if it was a grape on a vine. The first thing I felt was shock, next anger, pain, and finally the adrenaline kicked in and I chased my brother all the ten feet to the corner of that hallway, slammed him to the ground; proceeded to pick him up and throw him the length of that hallway, into our living room, and into our couch. He laughed the whole time because I didn’t want to hurt him at

A couple days passed and we finally reached Alcove Springs. I looked across the field and saw tall green grass and small hills barely peeking at the top of them. Wildflowers grew everywhere and it looked so pretty blending in with all the nature. The sunset between the small hills was a wonderful sight. We had to find flat land so we could camp there for two nights.…

Growing up in a family that did not communicate that much, I was not very close with my mother of father. My mom and I did tend to talk more but not about personal things in our life. Me and my dad however always fought. I have a few good memories with him (he loved teaching me how to make home made biscuits.) which I always enjoyed on those rare occasions he was in a good mood. But, 90% of the time we were fighting.…

I'll always remember the time my brother and I got lost at Hershey Park. My grandparents decided it would be fun to take my parents, my brothers, and me to Hershey Park, so they invited us to go with them, which we decided we would go with them. I was only 10 at the time and had visited Hershey Park a few times before then so I knew my way around, but there was a new part of the park called the Boardwalk that I didn't know my way around. Me and my brothers thought I would be fun to see the Boardwalk because it was brand new. The Boardwalk area was awesome!…

I was smiling the whole time as the skin around my neck was being ripped off. Well I wasn’t actually smiling and as brutal as I made it sound, it wasn’t as horrific an event now that I look back on it. The incident occurred while I was on Spring Break during my freshman year in high school. My family and I were vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee;which if I might add we’ve been there about eight times since I was seven years old. I remember clearly that day down to the exact temperature.…

Shakily, I breathe in. Retreating from the room where voices are hurled at one another like bullets, I find solace in the kingdom of clothes. The clothing dryer hums and heaves, radiating heat. MANDATORY: Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university. Although it took me quite some time to realize, I have been preparing for my major and career all my life. When I started fifth grade, my teacher fostered my love for reading by challenging me to read books that were much more difficult for my grade level because they addressed heavy subjects. He recommended that I read Flowers for Algernon, and it became the very first book that made me feel shock, heartbreak, joy, and frustration all in a single read.…

When I was little, before my parents were divorced, my parents, my two brothers, and I would go visit my family in La Grande. It was a very small town that my dad grew up in. We would stay in my great grandma’s house. The house was old yet amazing and even now I can remember every little detail about it. Outside it had many great climbing trees with faces, a giant garden that we would always harvest carrots and cucumbers from, and an old, damaged, red barn that I would always tell people had horses in it when really it was just full of gardening tools and christmas lights.…
