Maui Like Never Before

Traveling to new and tropical places has always been a passion of mine. When I think of the word “vacation,” the first three things that come to mind are airports, hotel rooms, and the electrifying beach activities. Not too long ago, I took my third trip to Hawaii with my parents and my amazing boyfriend, Trey. Not only was it enjoyable, but it was an unforgettable experience filled with an abundance of happiness and laughter.
On March 23rd at 4 am the first alarm went off, which meant it was time to make our way to the airport for our trip of a lifetime. It is typically not like me to be capable of waking up so early, but sacrificing beauty sleep is always worth it if it means you end up on a sandy beach by

Get your bags in the car and let's go!"
After a speedy drive to the airport we drop off the car, check our bags, go through security, and board the plane. Now that I made it to my window seat in the exit row (for extraordinary extra leg room) I get to relax and catch a few zzz's on this 6-hour flight to Maui, Hawaii! Watch out, Maui, here I come!
At last, we finally made it! While getting off the plane my

That is exactly why I urged everyone to join me in paddle boarding. As I run down to the beach from our room, I go straight to what I like to call the towel boy counter, where I rent 2 paddleboards. The towel boys got me all set up and had the boards waiting for Trey and I on the beach. To begin with, paddle boarding looks incredibly easy, but that’s only when you are paddling in a calm lake beside the ocean, as opposed to being on the waves in the ocean. Eagar as ever, I trot my way into the water with no idea of what I am doing. All I know is that I've watched it on social media before, and figured that it couldn’t be that hard. Besides, I wanted to know what I was I was missing out on. When I first got on the board after pushing it out far enough, it didn’t seem too hard, but then I decided to stand up and that’s where the true challenge came. Standing up on a paddle board while getting sloshed around by the waves is as equally as hard as trying to balance on a bike while it is standing still. When I finally gained the courage to stand up, I quickly fell straight into the crashing waves. At that point, I decided to just relax on the board for a bit. When laying on the board I started to think about how thankful I felt to be able to experience the finer things in life, even if it’s followed by what

Me and my senior sister particularly remained up throughout the night to go at a young hour in the morning to the shoreline to see the dawn. It was unexplainable. We had different spots to visit which also incorporates Hollywood Sign, Rodeo drive and last yet not the slightest The Disneyland. It was extremely upbeat and a long visit to Disneyland. It took us 3 days to finish the visit.…

When we arrived at the airport, we went to department 1 so that we could board our plane. We were just about to miss it when the manager saw us and told the flight attendants to wait. We boarded our plane and I immediately fell asleep, for my dad told me it would be a 5 hour flight to Florida. I woke up the next morning and we were just landing. We needed to ride a taxi so we could get to the Florida Cruise Lines and we were early.…

I could feel some type of tickling of nerves all over my body; it was awesome to ride a water motorcycle. After a couple days, for our last day of vacations in Puerto Vallarta, we went on a cruise to a small island. The boat that took us there was immensely big. I thought that getting inside that boat could take my life away I didn’t even know if it was safe or not. But the boat had all types of things from a pool to a restaurant, Internet, and video games, which made me forget about the perils of a boat ride.…

What could possibly go wrong? Whenever I picture Hawaii, I just think of the beach, the pink and orange sunsets, and having absolutely nothing to worry about. That sounded like the perfect way for my summer to start. When we first left from the airport in Cincinnati, we went to Houston, Texas. That plane ride went well, but then we went from Texas to Los Angeles.…

Hawaii is a wonderful place full of amazing scenery, crystal clear water, and amazing surf. My father and I have been surfing for a long time and really wanted to try to surf in Hawaii. We were on the Big Island of Hawaii and had to take a beautiful, but long, car trip to our surf destination. After, we rented surfboard because we had not brought our own and started on our surf session. When we finally paddled a quarter of a mile on our surfboard we hit the breakers.…

The beach we checked out produced huge well formed waves. There were surfers all over the water, and they were quite good at surfing. However, there was a sign that said, “for locals only”. We made sure to leave because we didn’t want to cause any trouble. Further down on that beach we found a spot where we could body surf.…

I spent my weekends making booklets of the most advantageous species in the ocean that I could find and made a bio for each one. I loved to watch national geographic and sharkweek -of course-, but most of all I loved the entirety of the ocean. Now to my story… Over the summertime I visited the beach a few times, but the weekend after it ended I had a longing for the ocean. However, I wanted this visit to be different and I felt as though I needed a change of pace. I’ve swam in the ocean and been boating upon it, but i’d never had the marvelous experience to ride the waves.…

You can get there if you walk through a trail deep in the woods. I love going to Sandy Beach with my mom and dad. Sometimes I go kayaking, sometimes I sit and watch people swim and sometimes I splash around in the shallow end with my floaties. Swimming looks fun to me, but it also seems very scary. Instead of swimming in the pond, I like to skip rocks, and look for fish, turtles and frogs in the water and along the beach.…

Most people wouldn’t say that after someone revealed a birthday surprise. I repeated the question over one more time in my head “Do you want to take flight lessons for your birthday.” It all started with me being asked to be with my uncle for a week on vacation. I was excited until I was asked to FLY A PLANE. I barely slept the night before. My uncle had breakfast ready for me so I ate and then we jumped in the car to make to the…
