This summer my parents were sitting at home on a boring sunday night while I was out with my friends. My mom texted me and said I need to come home soon because we were going on a trip tomorrow and my flight leaves around one. When my mom told me we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama I thought it was really weird and I was not excited. I was actually really upset because it was towards the end of summer and I wanted to stay here and hangout with my friends. So the next morning my Dad and I’s flight left at one P.M and my Mom and brother Kellan’s left at 2. Well at least we thought we were leaving at one, and flying through the Chicago airport but Chicago’s airport was closed due to weather. We didn’t take off til around 5 P.M. Kellan thought he was so facetious making fun of us “That sucks that you have to wait, we will beat you there now”. He said laughing. That wasn’t all the hecticness of traveling that day, When we arrived in Chicago we had missed our connecting flight to Miami, and the next flight available wasn’t until five A.M. We were finally there. at some points at the airport I was very glad my Dad used good discretion because I thought he was going to be really mad and cause a scene. We were finally there and ready to begin our vacation. The first two days we did not do much except hang out at the beach. The sand on the beach felt like walking on hot coals it was so hot, we either had to sprint through the sand or keep our shoes on. On the third of the five days Kellan and I went parasailing. I had already parasailed twice in my life so Kellan had a detriment compared to me. When we first got shot into the air Kellan was freaked out and yelled “oh god”. He ended up loving it and said it was a great experience. Later that night Kellan and I played some frisbee on the beach. I was dexterous at catching the frisbee but throwing it was another

When we arrived at the airport, we went to department 1 so that we could board our plane. We were just about to miss it when the manager saw us and told the flight attendants to wait. We boarded our plane and I immediately fell asleep, for my dad told me it would be a 5 hour flight to Florida. I woke up the next morning and we were just landing. We needed to ride a taxi so we could get to the Florida Cruise Lines and we were early.…

A Trip to Chicago Who would of thought that Chicago experienced the four seasons. Since I live in Miami, Florida we don’t experience the four seasons, so when I saw the colorful leaves for the first time I was in shocked because I’ve never seen that in my life. On Thursday October 19th, 2017 taking a trip to Chicago with my family was fascinating because we flew on an airplane across the United States, got to see my brother Christopher graduate from the Navy, and we took a tour around the beautiful city of Chicago. First of all, taking a spontaneous flight to Chicago for the next three days was nerve racking because we had booked the flight without knowing if my brother had passed his final test from boot camp. We took a huge chance going to a state where we had no clue what it was like, who the people were and where we need to go.…

Our family made it to the beach and the feeling that the sand gave my little toes was outstanding. I could have stayed there forever without ever going to the ocean. After I had my few moments of pure joy in the sand, I saw my brother playing in the ocean without me. I took off my shirt and sandals and ran over and joined in the fun. We splashed each other with the salty water and played for a few more minutes before it was time to leave.…

We were worried we were going to miss the flight. We arrived at the gate just minutes before 12:30 and were relieved to find passengers still boarding. The flight had been delayed twenty minutes, which kept us from missing it. The flight to Paris was a stressful one, hours in the air wondering if my grandmother would be alive when we landed. After we landed at Charles de Gaulle, we had a brief layover before the next flight.…

Afterwards, I got bored so I asked my dad if we could go to the pool. He said sure and off we went. All you could hear on the way was laughter and the quick relentless slap of my flip-flops. The temperature of the pool was perfect to cool us down on that hot summer day. We ended up swimming for hours and retreated back to our…

The Adventures to Florida It was a hot summer morning, my mom was at work, while my dad was at the house purchasing plane tickets. I had no idea that we would be going to Florida this summer. When something unexpected to me, was when me, my dad, and uncle Steve weren’t allowed on the plane. I have no idea why we weren’t allowed on the plane, when the plane was sitting right in front of us and it wasn’t leaving for 10 minutes. The airport service worker said that we would have to get on the next flight to Denver in three hours. We couldn’t go back to Washington, D.C. because the airport was 30 minutes out of the city, and we didn’t want to be stuck in D.C for another couple hours. While sitting at the airport waiting for our next flight, we walked around and looked at the shops that they had in there.…

I have always loved the water and wanted to get away from the busy city for the summer but I soon came to realize that not having a car and the fear of driving was ruining my work plans. One afternoon in late June my parents came to my grandpa’s house and they drove separate which was unusual. My mother pulled up in her F-150 and my dad came pulling in behind her in my aunt’s old Jeep Wrangler. I was curious on why they had brought to cars and I shortly after realized one was for me. My parents thought it would be a good idea for me to start practicing to drive again on the roads of the little town of Deltaville, where the speed limit does not go over 35 MPH.…
