I had just entered my junior year in high school and was back to playing football, my grades were good so far and my A.D.D. medication was helping me a lot. Zach and I had just arrived at the union school for a junior varsity game against Oceanside high school, we geared up and got ready for the game. I started the game at quarterback and the game wasn't going well for us, which didn't come as a surprise because jv games are never enjoyable. I took the snap and rolled out to the left side of the field, no one was open so I tucked the ball under my arm and started to run up field, I had room to move, suddenly a linebacker running at me from my side started to shorten up his steps and set himself for a tackle, he tackled low but I…

Dimitri Letsos Narrative Essay (Personal) It was a hot Sunday near the end of May of 2011, my brother and I were playing catch outside when my friend came over to hang out. We discussed what we should play, I thought that we should play a game called 500, which was where you threw the ball up in the air and if you caught it you would get a certain amount of points, until you reached 500. My brother was a more creative and thought of a game he called “Bigfoot” which I guess was a game where you chased the person who was “Bigfoot” and if you caught him you would become Bigfoot. I thought it was stupid so I said, “I think 500 is better, and someone’s going to get hurt.” My brother replied with, “Don’t be such a baby.”…

Walking into the lecture hall, I felt rather small. All of the other competitors shuffled around the room with their paraphernalia, marking their territory. My eyes wandered around, searching for a seat as I lingered down the stairs to the front of the room until I finally found a lone seat in the center of the room, waiting for me. Making my way back to the chair, I peered around the room once more, but this time, taking note of the other students. I found myself to be the minority, what my coach would later refer to me as "a brown drop in a sea of white faces".…
