Personal Narrative: Why I Put My Dog

Improved Essays
Starting off with the first thing that I put on my poster. I put a picture of both my dogs, one of the dogs is a puppy and he 8 months old and we've had him since July. We got him in July when he was just 8 weeks old. The other dog we got last year December and she passed away a couple months ago which had a huge impact on me and it's sad that she was only 3 years old. She was one of the nicest dogs too and she was best friends with my other dog. But the main reason I put my dogs is because they make me really happy and I could always count on them to cheer me up. I love taking them for walks and playing fetch with them outside. My next thing was a baseball card. I didn't know what else to put to show I loved baseball that would fit that well …show more content…
Pretty much all my clothes are Nike and they have been for a while. Every time I go shopping I pick out only Nike shoes and clothes. It seems really weird but I really just love Nike. My mom doesn't exactly like it because Nike is pretty expensive but I always find a way to convince her to buy it (lol). My next thing is a quote by Babe Ruth who was one of the greatest baseball player to live. His quote was “you just can't beat the person who never gives up”. This is one of the greatest quotes I like to live by. Because I hate people that always give up on things thinking they aren't gonna be able to accomplish something. When they never really would've know if they could have accomplished it because they gave up. People spend too much time thinking that something is impossible instead of actually doing it. You're going to fail all the time, it's a matter of getting back up and trying again. My next item was headphones. The main reason is because I love music and listening to …show more content…
I probably spend an hour a day just listening to music. I love listening to music before baseball games because it really pumps me up. I listen to music when I'm doing chores or trying to get something done because it makes me work more efficiently. That concludes all the stuff on my poster now to talk about other stuff and my goals for this year. I have many goals this year for english. My first one is to become a more advanced reader. I'm really not that great of a reader and I'm not very good at reading out loud. I hope that english can really improve that. My second one is to become a better writer. I really am not the best with grammar when writing. Also I'm not the best at spelling and I often mistake words for other words. My third goal is to become a better listener and be able to listen to gain comprehensive about the subject and truly understand what I'm being taught. My fourth goal and final goal is to become a more creative. To think outside the box, to really think of things from a different perspective. Look at things maybe how other people wouldn't. At the end of english I hope to look back and say that I really excelled in

I've never laughed at anything harder than the time my dog did a handstand. Just to provide some backstory, my dog, Jesse, has had this love–hate relationship with his water bowl since we adopted him seven years ago. His bowl is made of a shiny, reflective material that you can, well, see yourself in. When we first brought him home, he was completely terrified of it. Jesse refused to drink out of it for the first week we had him, and when he finally did go to drink from it, he did a handstand.…

One goal I wish I had worked a little harder towards would be my participation in class discussions. I have always been really shy and especially quiet in class. Oftentimes I would know the answer to a question or have an idea, but not matter how hard I tried, I could not bring myself to raise my hand. I wish I had improved on this skill because in the upcoming years, it will become crucial for me to participate in class discussions. Another goal that I did not meet was improving my nonverbal delivery skills.…
