Personal Narrative Essay: My First True Friend

Improved Essays

Even though the neighborhood I moved into was not large, I was blessed with the privilege of living across the street from the person who has impacted me in a number of ways. This person became my first true friend. Although it has been nearly 11 years since I met her, I remember it like it was yesterday. We met on Halloween in the year 2004 while my twin sister Jessica and I were out trick-or-treating. We were almost ready to wrap it up for the night, but we decided to make a final stop at the house across the street. The reason why I say that I would not make it to where we stayed down there is because when we are together, even for a short amount of time, it was like we were never apart. This leads me back to a phrase that the three of us would always shout back and forth to each other each night, while going home, and that phrase was “Bay, Abby, and Jessie, best friends forever!” That phrase has held true to its meaning up until this day, and that is a message that I am trying to get across here, and that message is that true friendship will never cease no matter what direction we go in. That is something that I have gotten out of meeting
