My first day at Forensics was not as eventful as the first time I went there, but the experience I had was good. When I arrived, I introduced myself to three nurses and gave them the slip. Then, one of the nurses gave me a tour of of their facility. She showed me the interview room, the mini kitchen where they have food for the patients, and the examination room. Next, one of the nurses gave me the task to shuffle through some clothes and chose what clothing was too worn out. Most of the clothing I chose where white T-Shirts with stains on it. Although I went through some of the clothes, I did not finish by the time I had to go

When I arrived today, there was a patient who was about to come to the office. However, under the circumstance, I was not allowed to be there. However, one the nurse did show me how they prepare the examination room for this type of case. The nurse also showed me how they organize the different types of bags from the kit, and what they are for. Afterwards, I spend the rest of my time with a nurse who was preparing for their presentation at a school. From their presentation, the nurse showed me a video about consent. I thought it was interesting because the video used a tea metaphor to explain the importance of asking for consent. When it was time to go, I had to exit from the back door since people associated to the patient where in the waiting room:

•We have extras, incase we need some. But we used to save them to show that we did not use them, however, not anymore.

•(Pointing at a picture) Is that why on the paperwork, it asks for the patient's consent to use their pictures?

•Yes (shows me a different picture), like this picture we took it here. We just want their permission to show their injuries to

As I mentioned in the previous assignment, I want to increase my baseline 500 steps each week so that by the end of the semester I am recording 10,000 steps which is in the active range. I will continue walking around the property at work and stepping in place whenever I possibly can. I will stick to walking to the mailbox which is two blocks from home as opposed to driving up to it on my way home. If I have days where I am tired I will just give myself another pep talk. I have a pretty good support system thus far so I will lean on them if pushing myself on my own does not cut it.…

My day started a bit off, I had an emergency that morning that made me run a bit late for clinical. This made me miss some important information such as, how nurses in NCBH hand over to the next shift, but aside that, I had a wonderful day working with nurse Mrs. Osei. She welcomes me by introducing herself, which I responded likewise. She took me with her to do her morning rounds and administer medication to her assigned patient. After we were done with her morning medication, I went to one of her patient whom I was assign to by Mrs. Natasha to perform mini mental survey and general assessment on the patients.…

I have a confession to make, I enjoy the practice of Criminal Defense. As a criminal defense attorney, I represent those charged with a crime, whether it's traffic, DWI/DUI, misdemeanor or felony. As per the explanation I have heard from many people, I defend the 'scum of the earth.' Since deciding this was my area of practice as an attorney, I have heard from friends, family and even total strangers that my chosen profession is 'wrong,' 'despicable,' I've even been told what I do is "what's wrong with America. Since this is my first year being apart of Forensics at Millard North High School I have come across and learned many new things. For example, I learned a bunch of new forensic slang such as breaking and S. O. P. More importantly, however, I learned how Millard North Forensics works and functions as a team. It was encouraging to see all the varsity members that were willing to help the novices when they required it. I also enjoyed watching how everyone is friendly towards each other and support one another. They truly take the motto of, “The wall is only as strong as its weakest brick” to heart.…

At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…
