Personal Narrative Essay: My First Cell Phones

My First Phone Cell phones have been around for a while now and they continue to advance every single day. Without cell phones, this world would be a very different place. Cell phone have many features including cameras, alarm clocks, and text messaging. There are many positive and negative stuff that cell phones provide in my life. For example, one time I was stuck in the middle of nowhere because I ran out of gas. I called my dad so he could help me out. If I ever need help I can dial 911 to give me further assistance with my problem. On the contrary, if somebody were to steal my phone and get caught with it, they could face serious jail time. I still remember when I received my first cell phone. It was a very cold winter day, December 10th, 2004. That date was very special because it was my seventh birthday. I was extremely upset because nobody told me happy birthday and I did not have a phone, while all my friends did. Technology has changed so much over the past decade. People still use phones all of the time. (Believe it or not, People out there say they do not read books or read anything, but if you have a phone you read every single day especially on social media). We read texts, emails, read tweets and even more things. Technology and reading have impacted my life in a lot of ways. I think my vison has suffered because I am on my phone reading things a lot. The eye doctors say I have developed astigmatism. Astigmatism is when your vison is really blurry. It has also made me way more mature. I do not have to text my mom all the time anymore because she trusts me way more than when I was a little kid. I am a man now not a little kid.
